MEMORANDUM
1. Reference: Spot Report of Asphyxia by Manual Strangulation that Resulted in the Death
2. This relates to the events described above that took place at Garden Villas, Sta. Rosa,
Laguna, the victim was identified as Marie Antonette Tan, a 20-year-old female victim
who was unemployed. On or about this date, at approximately 15:00 in the afternoon, a
call was received from a concerned citizen reporting the discovery of what they believed
to be a dead body in the Garden Villas, a vacant lot.
3. This office was requested by the SOCO Crime Laboratory for further examination,
wherein, according to the initial investigation, SOCO believed that it was dead for about
12 hours from the time of occurrence. The found dead body was in the custody of the
funeral home for autopsy purposes. Based on the post-modem examination gathered by
the Medico-Legal Officer, Pol. Supt. Roy Agsunod Camarillo, MD., the cause of her
death is asphyxia by manual strangulation. Moreover, the presence of deep healed
lacerations at 3 o’clock, 5 o’clock, 6 o’clock, and 9 o’clock positions found that there is
no vaginal discharge or blood seen in the genitalia of the victim.
