There are 2 manufacturing companies operating under Ali & Sons Building Material Division named Max Rock
Spectrum and Spectrum Light Block Factory:

 Max Rock Spectrum produces and supplies the best quality aggregates such as Gabbro and Limestone along with
rocks, sands, and washed sands in compliance with the regional industry standards. It manages a quarry in
Fujairah, United Arab Emirates that is equipped with the latest machinery. Max Rock is a single source provider
for all construction needs.
 Spectrum Light Block Factory LLC is one of the leading manufacturers of AAC Blocks, an internationally proven
building material with more than 500 plants covering all regions of the globe, located in the heart of the
Industrial City of Abu Dhabi (ICAD 1) and is the sole property of Ali and Sons Holdings.

Major responsibilities:

 Financial reporting on monthly basis, Budgeting, Variance Analysis, MIS reporting, Forecasting,
Managing A/Receivables and A/Payables. Monthly Profit and Loss A/c. Daily sales and production
report / accruals.
 Liaise with internal and external auditors and ensure that accurate documentation is maintained for
audit purposes.
 Provide inputs to the management to support long-term financial planning.
 Identify risks and opportunities to contribute to the achievement of the organization's short- and long-
term goals and strategies.
 Driving Accounting Policy requirements of Division through Division Specific Accounting Policies.
 Prepare and present operational and capital expenditure budgets to the management.
 Renewal of various banks facilities and submitting annual proposal for various limit enhancements for
LC’s and other financing modes.
 Manage financial planning work including cash flow analysis, rationalizing expenditure, cost
estimation, analysing financial statements to specify potential risks, setting preventive plans, and
taking required corrective actions. 
 Develop, Manage, and monitor quarterly and annual budgeting exercise and cost in terms of
processes, preparation, rules, regulations, and reporting in accordance with Group finance policies
and procedures. 
 Supervise the preparation of MIS reports to provide feedback to top management on financial
performance, viz. fund management and ageing analysis.
 Liaising with bank and Group Treasury department in financing matters and managing and maintaining
the facilities within the sanctioned limit.
 Coordinate with Group HR Department for HR & Administrative functions including monthly payroll,
employee development and motivational programs, etc.
 Supervise implementation of Federal Tax Authority rules and reviewing and submitting quarterly VAT
return.
 Manage, train, and develop our Finance team.
 Maintains accurate records and high standards of reporting, inventories, and filing.

Finance and Accounts Manager

services encompass a wide range of practice areas including Corporate & Commercial, Intellectual Property

Major responsibilities:

 Prepare financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
 Direct Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes to ensure timely billing and
sufficient cash flow for the firm.

 Develop a reliable cash flow projection process and reporting mechanism which includes minimum
cash threshold to meet operating needs of the firm and ensures timely invoicing to the firm’s clients
and payments to international vendors.
 Prepare, Complete, Review and Submit Value Added Tax (VAT) returns within the filing deadlines in
compliance with tax laws.
 Optimization of overhead expenditures and monitor payroll and travel expenditures.
 Facilitate the optimization of the firm’s accounting software system, by providing the appropriate
information about estimating, Profit & Loss, revenue, and account summary reporting.
 Create and implement a working capital plan.
 Investigate and recommend outside resources for capital when needed, negotiating competitive rates.
 Report monthly to the managing partners on all financial areas.
 Oversee and direct the annual auditing process and report to partners.
 Review existing client contracts to ensure maximum profitability.
 Implement stringent confidentiality agreements with all vendors, clients and employees to protect the

 Manage systems staff to provide reliable service and support to all technological areas within the firm
including, but not limited to, internet and email, file back-ups, network and PC computers, graphic

 Review, recommend and direct the appropriate capital expenditures for all technological areas.
 Work directly with team leaders/department heads in the forecasting of revenues and expenses for all
clients, reporting to managing partners on a quarterly basis.
 Initiate meetings as needed with agency staff and/or managing partners to address areas of concern or
ideas for process efficiency and improvement.
 Direct the staff in providing and directing procedures and systems necessary to maintain proper
records and to afford adequate accounting controls and services.
 Monitor and evaluate subordinates’ performance and workloads, reassigning priorities as needed and
perform staffing functions.
 Explore and develop new areas for firm’s growth and profitability.

Chief Accountant/Acting Finance Manager

Major responsibilities:

 Financial reporting on monthly basis, group financial reports quarterly basis, Budgeting, variance
reports, MIS reporting, forecasting, managing A/Receivables and A/Payables. Monthly profit and loss
A/c. Sales report / accruals & group consolidation.
 Representing the company to financial partners, including financial institutions, foundation executives
and auditors.
 Assist internal/ external auditors and submit financial reports to banks and Board of Directors.

LC’s and other financing modes.
