INTRODUCTION

On- The- Job- Training (OJT) means training in the public or private sector
engaging in productive work that provides knowledge and skills essential to the full and
adequate performance on the job. On- the- job- training (OJT) is one of the best experience
and highlights of the college life of the criminology student. This training could help the
trainees to experience the different demands of their future job. This is a great opportunity
for them to apply the things that they have learned inside the four corners of the classroom.
On- the- job- training also helped them in enhancing their personality, and confidence. It
could also instill to them the value of respect for the law and services to the community.
Before the interns were deployed in selected agencies and the community immersion, they
have experienced a week long intensive paramilitary training's and exercises. The series of
activities and preparations are designed to prepare the interns not only physically, but
mentally as well for the challenges that they were about to face in their personal career.
The interns of Mallig, Plain, Colleges are designated at Mallig Police Station. The interns
played great roles during their internship in the different agencies concerned. They were
tasked to assist the personnel and the daily work whether it is in the field, in the office, their
daily operation our paper works. The interns must observe how things work inside the
agencies and assume that they are one of the personnel and must therefore act like
professionals having discipline, and one responsible personnel. This is to help them
develop and build their good attitudes, manners and skills as future law enforcers.

BUREAU OF FIRE PROTECTION MALLIG, STATION

HISTORY OF BFP MALLIG STATION

Once a municipality has a fire station, it is said to be progressive. The town of

mallig has proven this to be true. Motivated by the unstoppable progress of the town,
the LGU mallig purchased a green-colored tanker type fire truck. This gave birth to
the mallig fire station on JUNE,1, 2011 through the initiative of Hon PEDRO A.
REYES the mayor of the town. He all efforts to establish the fire station by donating
the fire truck and a 500 square meter- lot within the municipal hall compound where a
soon -to-be fire station building will rise to house the BFP Personnel and the fire
truck. He then requested for BFP Personnel to man the fire station.
The mallig fire station started with six BFP Personnel who where enthusiastic
and willing to serve the town to name,FO2 Elmer D Parallag, FO3 Joseph P Tagulao,
FO2 Darwin A sampelo, and FO1 Maxicel A Fernadez, FO1 Jimmy jay R cabal, and
FO1 Princess c soriano. We called ourselves ‘’THE PIONEERS’’. with nothing to start
with, we began our journey. We where given the SK building which we shared with
Mr. Julbert Balmores, the sanitary inspector, as our temporary fire station. Our group
was blessed and thankful for having him with us because he provide almost
everything we needed to start with until he was given an office of his own and left us.
From nothing and with all the challenges we have encountered, we became more
determined. Our journey continued with FO2 Elmer D Parallag trying his best to lead
as until he was assigned in another fire station, SFO1 loreto A Francisco took his
place. Our new leader, young and very active was designated as acting municipal
fire marshal. Through his leadership, our station metamorphosed into a better, more
beautiful and more comfortable place for us. With him we hope to continue journey
towards the development of our station. A ‘’station to watch’’ in the future with
personnel who are friendly and very accommodating and always ready to serve. The
Mallig fire station is now ready for more changes challenges to come.
