Introduction
● One of the salient features that differentiate man from
animals is the gift of knowledge.
● Learning get combined and become knowledge which
has been categorized under different heads.

● 3. FORMS OF KNOWLEDGE
Sources of
knowledge
● The following are the source of knowledge
● Man has the ability not only believing what he sees are
true but also the ability to think and visualize what he
could not directly see.
Authoritative
knowledge
● Human knowledge gets endorsed only through the
authorities who propounded it.
● Eg. Buddha, Edison, etc..
Revealed knowledge
● Sages and saints were blessed with divine revelation
and because of their piety selfless and moral authority,
people accept them as authoritative massage.
Intuitive knowledge
● The ability to understand something instinctively without
the need for conscious reasoning.
Facets OF knowledge
● 1.participative knowledge
● 2. Content knowledge
● 3. Relational knowledge
Participative
knowledge
● Knowledge about social environment is acquired
through participants in social activities.
Content knowledge
● It refer to what is taught in educational institutions as
outline by curriculum, syllabus, text book, etc..
Relational knowledge
● Knowledge and learning are related.
Form of knowledge
Sensory knowledge- knowledge acquired through
sense.
● Experiential knowledge- sense perception ate stored in
mind as image and applied thinking whenever need
.arises.
● Demonstrative knowledge- knowledge acquired from
things that could not be explained through direct
relations but may be inferred through indirect relation.
● Logical knowledge- when knowledge is acquired
through the use of inductive and deductive
● Intuitive knowledge- when one get knowledge
transcending conscious experience and reasoning.
● Digital knowledge- text and documents stored in the
digital form and is accessible to computers
