SeaCube Containers Inspection & Repair Criteria for Cargo Worthy REEFER Containers
updated: July 2020

All repairs are to be performed by using the cheapest repair method and material, resulting in a structural sound repair. When applicable, overlap patches on rails are allowed
provided these have the same or better strength compared to the methods as described in the IICL for reefer containers. Panel overlap patches can be performed by using the
minimum number of rivets (e.g. 50 mm / 2 in rivet offset) and using mastic for adhesive purposes.

General
A cargo worthy SeaCube Container reefer machinery should pass a pre-trip inspection based on the manufacture outlined testing criteria. The cooling system should be free of
dirt, stain etc. R40 contamination is acceptable if total contamination detected is 0.03% (300ppm) or less. Components (as outlined in the criteria) are to be in a working order
and guarantee safety while operating the machinery. Damaged components may be replaced or repaired by none original (original by manufacture or used) components, provided
these parts or components have the same function and performance. The general cooling, heating and modulating performance should not be compromised. Unlike the IICL for
reefer containers, this inspection and repair criteria aims for bringing the damaged back to within the outlined criteria rather than repairing up to original shape, design or
measurements.
A SeaCube Cargo Worthy repaired reefer container is a structural sound reefer container with an
acceptable performing reefer machinery.
