Technical Data Sheet

Other names: Vinyl Adhesive - Exp2/2 -

SF is a dispersion adhesive based on synthetic resin with an extremely high solid content resulting in a high bond
strength and therefore particularly suitable for fixing veneel floors to a porous sub- floor such as concrete, cement,
screed, wood, chipboard, board, etc. Adjustment can be made immediately after laying of the vinyl strips.

Properties:
Base Synthetic resin
Colour White
Solid content 75 % ± 1%
pH value 6–7
Viscosity 24,000 cps ± 10% at 25 C,
Brookfield HPT speed 20, spindle 4
°
Minimum film forming temperature 10 C
Flammability non –flammable
Open Time 20-30 minutes
Full curing 3 days

Surface Preparation & Application:

Preparation:
1. All sub floors must be clean, free of dust, dirt, wax, paint and foreign material.
2. Concrete floors must be fully cured (not less than 28 days after pouring) and free of excess moisture, alkalinity
and water pressure.
3. Damaged or uneven floors should be leveled with an appropriate leveling compound.

Application:
1. Before use, stir the paste, then apply the adhesive with a serrated trowel. It is advisable not to spread more
adhesive than can be used in 20-30 minutes. Do not return excess adhesive to the container.
2. Properly position vinyl sheets and lay it onto adhesive and press firmly or roll. Allow the adhesive to set for
15 minutes when working with less porous substrates.
3. This flooring adhesive become water proof if leaving the vinyl sheets about 2 days without using.

Open assembly and setting times:

The open assembly and setting times depend on working condition, water content, air humidity, temperature and
glue spread. The coat thickness and the material being glued. However, allow an additional setting time before the
parts are subjected to further operations.
Lower temperature lengthen open assembly time, while higher temperature shorten assembly time.
Technical Data Sheet

Thinner:
Dilute with water if the paste has thickened somewhat. Do not add more than 10 %. Dilution of water reduces the
adhesive power.

Clean Up:
Clean tools with water when it is wet and use warm soapy water to remove dry adhesive.

Good result can be obtained under the following conditions:

Material and glue temperature Not less than 25o C
Glue spread 90-110 g/m2

Coverage:
About 0.28- 0.4 Kg/ m2, dependent on the surface texture of the sub-floor. We recommend not to use this paste
at temperature below 10 0C.

Storage:
SF has a shelf life of about one year provided that it is stored in unopened containers in a cool place. After
standing for some time, stir the paste for a moment before using it.

Packaging:
1, 4.5, 16, 100 and 125 Kg.
