I. LEARNING COMPETENCIES
A. Illustrates a circle and the terms related to it: radius, diameter, chord, center, arc, chord,
central angle, and inscribed angle.
II. OBJECTIVES
A. Define circle, radius, diameter, chord, center, arc, central angle and inscribed angle.
B. Realize the importance of circles by using the concept of it in creating an artwork.
C. Solve measurements involving radius, diameter, chord, arc, central angle and inscribed
angle of a circle.
III.CONTENT

IV. LEARNING EXPERIENCE
A. Activity
Synchronous: Flashback Tuesday!
Review the students about the previous topic, “Polygons”, by asking these
questions.
1. What is a polygon?
2. What is the difference between convex and non-convex polygon?
3. What is a regular polygon?
4. What is the sum of the interior and exterior angles of a regular polygons?
5. How to get the measure of each interior and exterior angles of a regular
polygon?
B. Analysis
Synchronous: Picture Analysis
Present the following pictures to the students. Then ask them to identify which of
the following picture does not belong to group.
Guide Questions:
1. Why do you think that the 4th picture does not belong to the group?
2. What do you call those shapes?
C. Abstraction
Synchronous
1. What is a circle?
2. What is radius, diameter, center, chord, arc, central angle, and inscribed angle
of a circle?
3. How to measure the radius, diameter, chord, arc, central angle and inscribed
angle of a circle?
D. Application
Asynchronous: Geometry Art
Materials: Coloring Materials (Water color, oil pastel etc.)
Long Bond Paper
Compass, protractor or any plane circle shape.
Direction: The students will apply the idea of the lesson through creating a
geometry art which involve circles (Circle Art).
V. ASSESSMENT
Asynchronous: Quiz#6
A. Find the area and circumference of each circle in terms of π .
VI. AGREEMENT
Asynchronous
Define the following.
1. Statistics
2. Data
3. Frequency Distribution Table
