Zawtika Development Project Phase 1 is subject to a Production Sharing Contract (“PSC”) with
MOGE, operated by the COMPANY for the exploitation Block M9 which is located in the Gulf of
Moattama, approximately 300 km in the south of Yangon and 290 km in the west of Tavoy on
the Myanmar coast.
Zawtika Development Project Phase 1 is being developed in Phases and is currently developed
to Phase 1C with natural gas from Phase 1A produced since Q1 2014.
The Zawtika Development Project Phase 1D comprises four (4) ZWPs ; ZWP12 to ZWP15,
including but not limited to topside, jacket and appurtenances, piled foundations, associated
pipelines, tie-ins and brownfield modifications as part of Zawtika Development Project Phase
1.

The overall field schematic for oil and gas production is shown in figure below.
o ZWP12, ZWP14 and ZWP15 are ZMFP Model and designed for 9-well slot type
platform.
o ZWP13 is ZOCP Model and it is designed for 20-well slot type platform.

2.0 SCOPE
The objective of this document is to PAUT demonstration for Zawtika Development Project.
PAUT system include TD focus, Omniscan MX2 or equivalent equipment combine to HSMT
compact, ROTIX –JIREH, MAGMAN scanner are fulfilling the inspection requirement as
outlined in the ASME, ASW D1.1 code.
This qualification program defines the methods for preparing, marking, documenting, and
inspection of welds contain defect.
4.0 PERSONNEL
PAUT technician carry out the phased array ultrasonic examination of welds shall be qualified
in accordance with ISO-9712 such as PCN or CSWIP minimum PAUT level II, or level III.
Scanner technicians: The person responsible for maintaining and operating the PAUT
mechanise scanner, shall be minimum PAUT level II according to SNT-TC-1A
Evaluation of PAUT inspection results in accordance with the supplied acceptance criteria
Reporting of RT results

Conclusions
Qualification welds: Partial pipe OD.600xT20 – Sing vee/Single side Welded, Plate
L300xT40 – Double vee/Double side Welded
PAUT procedure
The scan plan shall be establish accordance to configuration weld before calibration
and scanning. The calibration data shall be documented with at least the date, time,
block identified and name of the PAUT technician.
Omniscan MX2 equipment shall be testing partial pipe OD 600xT20 and plate
L300xT40
TD focus equipment shall be testing partial pipe OD 600xT20 and plate L300xT40
For thickness more than 20mm S19, A12 probes can be used

All the welds as part of the agreed PAUT qualification program shall be examined in
accordance with the applied and accepted PAUT inspection procedure.
Seed defect for qualification weld shall be submit to client review before manufacturing
and demonstration (see Appendix III)
The Reference Direction Arrow shall define the inspection direction for datum.
The PAUT technician shall highlight all relevant imperfections and document the
imperfections with at least the following information (type, length, defect location from
OD and/or ID surface, circumferential location (mm or cm, etc.).
Weld identification
Defects length shall be sized using 6dB drop methodology. The defect indication
shall be highlighted and zoomed on the C scan or B scan image and the
reference curser shall be used to determine the 6dB boundary at either end of
the defect
The 6dB boundary shall be determined by moving the reference cursor to the
peak of the defect response and recording the amplitude (the amplitude shall be
less than 100%) then move the cursor toward the ends of the defect until the
amplitude drops to less half the recorded peak amplitude, move the cursor back
toward the peak until the signal breaks the 50% of peak position (6dB), mark
these positions. The distance between each ends is 6dB boundary.
Imperfection Depth
The depth of Imperfection is measured from the surface of the sample to the
bottom of the imperfection.
The coordinate system for RT shall be identical to the coordinate system to be applied
for PAUT.
The Reference Direction Arrow shall define the direction of inspection for RT, and shall
be at the same location and in the same direction as used for the PAUT inspection.
The film shall contain identifications with at least the following information:
Weld identification
Date of testing
The interpreter shall interpret the RT film and note all relevant imperfection. the
imperfection (type, length, etc.) shall be documented.
The Radiographic Inspection Films and the PAUT images shall be evaluated/interpreted and
reported in a tabular form as illustrated in Appendix I (comparison NDT results).
