Welding Process : GTAW Coverage: Weld + HAZ (Max.5mm)
FLAW DETECTOR : SERIAL No :
COUPLANT : Cellulose Paste SURFACE CONDITION : As welded & Clean
METHOD OF TESTING : Pulse Echo , A - Scan Contact Method SENSITIVITY CALIBRATION BLOCK: 46mm
CALIBRATION BLOCK : IIW (V1) Block, V2 Block Hole Depth: ¼T Hole Dia. 3mm
SCANNING : 1. Do TR Normal probe scanning for a distance half-skip+5mm from the weld cap edge
2. Use 45, 60 and 70 degree probes from both side of the stiffener plate.
3. Do Shear wave Probe scanning up to Fullskip+ weld width distance
with an inclination of about 20 degree

2. Scannining speed <100mm/s


3. Provide 10% crystal overlap
4. Scan from the dessed weld cap for
fitting welds
