Al – Wakeel

Wakeel comes from the root waaw-kaaf-laam, which points to three main meanings. 1 st meaning: to
appoint or entrust for the care or management of something. 2 nd meaning: to be a guardian of one’s
interests, and the 3rd is to rely upon. It refers to Allah as the one who is entrusted with all the affairs and
who can be relied upon completely.

1. Divine Trustworthiness: Al-Wakeel signifies Allah’s ultimate trustworthiness and reliability. It


highlights His perfect ability to fulfil His promises and take care of His creation.
2. Complete Dependence: The virtue of Al-Wakeel encourages believers to acknowledge their
complete dependence on Allah. It promotes the understanding that true success and protection
lie in relying on Him alone.
3. Peace of Mind: Trusting in Allah as Al-Wakeel brings peace of mind. Believers find solace in
knowing that Allah is the ultimate Guardian and Manager of their affairs, relieving them from
unnecessary worries and anxieties.
4. Divine Guidance: Al-Wakeel provides believers with a sense of direction and guidance. They trust
that Allah, as the Ultimate Guardian, will lead them on the right path and show them the way to
success and righteousness.
5. Support in Difficulties: Recognizing Allah as Al-Wakeel gives believers the assurance that they
have a reliable source of support during challenging times. They trust that Allah will provide
them with the necessary assistance and solutions.
6. Reliance on Divine Wisdom: Al-Wakeel encourages believers to place their trust in Allah’s
wisdom. They understand that He knows what is best for them and will manage their affairs in
the most appropriate and beneficial way.
7. Emotional Stability: Trusting in Al-Wakeel cultivates emotional stability within believers. They
