below and submit the same to the College of Engineering College study center on or before 5.00
PM, 7th NOV 2021.

DIRECTION TO THE STUDENTS:

1. Submit both assignments (assignment 1 and assignment 2) in button file but at the same
time.
2. A sample FIRST PAGE of a subject is attached for your reference. Use the same template
for all the subjects.
3. The last date for the submission of assignment is 07.11.2021
4. Minimum number of pages for each assignment should be 5 pages.
5. Assignments will be collected only at CEG study center office which is located CPDE
building ground floor CEG Campus Anna University
6. Only hand written assignments will be accepted.
7. Students are strictly advised to submit their assignments ON OR BEFORE DUE DATE
8. There will be no postponement of DUE DATE.
9. Avoid due date submission.

1. In a certain factory making razar blades there is a small chance of 1/500 for any blade
to be defective. The blades are in packets of 10. Use poisson distribution to calculate the
approximate number of packets containing (i) no defective (ii) one defective (iii) 2
defective blades in a consignment of 10,000 packets.
