Research I Q2m1 - Scientific Method

John watches his grandmother bake bread and becomes curious about what causes bread to rise. [1] He develops a hypothesis that more sugar will cause bread to rise higher. [2] John plans an experiment using different amounts of sugar as the independent variable and the height of the bread as the dependent variable. [3] He finds that 70g of sugar produces the largest loaf, supporting his hypothesis.

SCIENTIFIC METHOD
 involves a series of steps that are used to investigate a natural
occurrence
 It is a systematic approach to problem solving that involves
observation and experimentation.
 This involves statement of the problem, research through observation,
formulation of hypothesis, actual experiment, collection and analysis of
data, drawing conclusion and communication of final results.
