A TWO DAY ACTIVITIES FOR MATHEMATICS EDUCATORS

RATIONALE AND OBJECTIVE:

This 2-day Activities for Mathematics Educators will help the students in arousing and maintaining interest
in mathematics. These activities will give them opportunities to develop their explorative and creative skills
as they will be given activities such as Quiz Bee, Seminars, and Games.

EXPECTED OUTPUT:
At the end of the activity, the participants are expected to:
1. gain insightful knowledge from the webinar and be inspired to apply these and at the board
examinations;
2. have a deeper understanding in mathematics education; and,
3. be motivated and be successful future mathematics educators.

NARRATIVE REPORT (DOCUMENTATION)

The society for the Advancement of Mathematics Education conducted a two-day activities that ensures to

help the students in arousing and maintaining interest in Mathematics.

DAY 1

The first day of the two-day SAME activities was conducted last February 10, 2022. The activities that were

held on that day were the Quiz bee and Sudoku puzzle. The quiz bee contains Math and some Science

question that was divided into three level: easy round, average round, and difficult round. There were 10

groups which contains 4 members each group for a total of 40 participants. It was held from 8 am until 12

pm thru Google meet. In the afternoon, at 1 pm the Sudoku puzzle was held. The puzzles and criteria were

posted on the SAME Facebook page and participants were given until 6 pm to submit their works.

DAY 2

On the second day, February 11, 2022, the webinar “ Passing the Licensure Examination with Ease and

Tips on How to be Good in Mathematics” was conducted. The first guest speaker for the day was Mr.

Elmer Tenerio a licensed professional teacher followed by the next guest speaker Engr. Loraine C. Radan

a profesional civil engineer. They share their experience and tips to pass the licensure exam. They also

impart knowledge on how to be Good in Mathematics. It was a very helpful and interesting topic. Overall,

the two-day activities were conducted successfully.
