Great for Solids, High Viscose Fluids, & Gas-Dissolved Fluid Transport!
America, Inc.
Inner Vortex Pump - Structure and Principle
The Inner Vortex Pump is designed with
Impeller
three primary parts:
Vortex Pillars
Blades
•A dome-shape disc with internally-located vortex blades that Flat Disk
generate centrifugal force and are gentle to solids in the fluid.
•A flat disc fixed on the pump shaft.
•Four pillars that connect two discs.
The vortex blades of the Inner Vortex Pump rotate, gently lifting solids without
damaging them. Also, the Inner Vortex Pump does not generate strong centrifugal
force, further preventing damage.

Inner Vortex Pump
The vortex blades on the dome-shaped disc rotates, gently lifting solid materials without
smashing them. The solids which flow into the chamber turn 90°, move along the surface of
the flat disc, and are gently transported.
The pump does not allow for residual fluids*, creates a smooth flow, and enables
CIP*—Cleaning In Place—and SIP*—Sterilizing In Place.
*The relationship between the depth and diameter of the wetted area is L/D<6, and the pump
enables precise cleaning and fluid transportation.
*A general term for the cleaning process of instruments of running warm water, sodium hydroxide,
or nitric acid.
*A general term of a sterilization process for pumps and pipes by high temperature steam immersion
--121°C – for 30 seconds.
Solids are not damaged and the pump does not break down.
There are wide gaps between the casing, cover, and impeller, so they do not make
contact—no wear. The pump transports hard solids smoothly. There is no jamming or
locking of solids, so there is only the minor wearing of parts. Therefore, maintenance costs
can be significantly reduced.

Caution: The performance data above was taken with water without any solids. Depending on the specific gravity
of the solids, the amount of the solid, and/or the viscosity of the solid, the performance will vary. Please consult
with Nikuni for the detail of the fluids.
Caution: Depending on the condition of the application, the RPM of the motor could change and so could the
performance. Please consult with Nikuni.
