• System has several spare slots in the
MAU’s for future growth. Each spare slot
in a MAU must have an Air Management
Module in place.
• Seals the front of the MAU and forces
the airflow to remain laminar as it moves
over the AMM and thus reduce the
possibility of an unbalanced flow of air.
• Each AMM also has spring clips along
the side of the front plate to help reduce
Electromagnetic Interference and Radio

•Three AV-900’s are standard equipment for the flight deck.
•The AV-900 is a true digital audio panel for the Embraer 170-190
Series aircraft.
•Both the received audio and the microphone audio for transmission are
digitized.
•Additional receivers can be selected by pushing the appropriate
circular button.
•The AV-900 provides amplification for the flight deck speakers. The
signals it amplifies include the selected receivers and all audio warning
signals generated by the EPIC system.
•The AV-900 also offers back-up capability in the event of power loss or
failure of the panel by providing a direct analog link to the on-side radio
transceiver for both microphone and headset.

It is a high resolution, frequency modulated, continuous wave radio

altitude system designed for automatic continuous operation.
The system transmits a low-power, frequency modulated signal
downward from the aircraft and measures the frequency of the returning
signal that reflects off the terrain and returns.
The system calculates the transit time and that is converted to Absolute
Altitude and expressed as Feet above the terrain.

The NIC section consists of the standard
Network Interface Control circuit as used on
all other ASCB-D connected units.
The RNIC is teamed with an Aircraft
Personality Module (APM) in the backplane of
the MRC

The central cabinet processing section utilizes

a microprocessor to operate and control the
modules in the MRC.
Radio Tuning commands – Processes
the tuning commands from the ASCB-D
buses and directs the commands to the
