LESSON PLAN IN MATHEMATICS GRADE 11

I. OBJECTIVE:
At the end of the lesson, 75% of the class should be able to illustrate the different
types of conic sections and appreciate their importance in our daily-life activities.
II. SUBJECT MATTER:
Topic: Conic Sections
Reference: Pre - Calculus p. 636-708
Algebra and Trigonometry p. 164-172
Materials: Activity sheet, visual aid and flash cards, meta cards, pens,
activity sheets.
Strategies: Group Activity, Differentiated Instruction, Constructivism

III. PROCEDURE
 Preliminary Activities
1. Prayer
2. Checking of attendance
3. Knowing each other.”Kumusta Ka”

1. Activity
The teacher will post the strips for groupings:

 The students will voluntarily join his/her preferred group.

Instruction in ten minutes.
 The teacher will ask the group illustrate the conic sections in
different forms.
 The teacher will assist the group in the formation of the
presentation.
 The teacher/and students will prepared the rubrics for the
group activity.
