Introduction:
Har Ghar Tiranga’ is a campaign under the aegis of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav to encourage people to
bring the Tiranga home and to hoist it to mark the 75th year of India’s independence. Our
relationship with the flag has always been more formal and institutional than personal. Bringing the
flag home collectively as a nation in the 75th year of independence thus becomes symbolic of not
only an act of personal connection to the Tiranga but also an embodiment of our commitment to
nation-building. The idea behind the initiative is to invoke the feeling of patriotism in the hearts of
the people and to promote awareness about the Indian National Flag.

Social work:
Whenever in any work where society is being involved it ultimately becomes a social work whether it
is spreading awareness for various programs, benefits etc. Har Ghar Tiranga Program was launched
to bring together the various peoples, communities of the society residing in India, also to bring
collectively all the citizens of India with the help of Indian flag.

We visited the village under the guidance of our respected faculty members i,e Ms. Sugandha Singh,
Assistant Professor, SOL, GU., Prof. Dr. Narendra B. Singh and Mr. Dhruv Vats, Assistant
Professor(SOL, GU)

"Meri Maati Mera Desh" The campaign will include various programs across the country to
remember the bravehearts (Veers). Shilaphalakams (memorial plaques) commemorating them will
be installed in village panchayats.

1- Dedication of Shilaphalakam-installation of nameplate of Veers.

4- Veeron Ka Vandan- honoring freedom fighters/braves who protect the nation and families of
braves.

The campaign will feature programs like the establishment of Shilaphalakams dedicated to freedom
fighters and security forces, as well as initiatives like Panch Pran Pledge, Vasudha Vandan, Veeron ka
Vandan which venerates the gallant sacrifices of our bravehearts. Shilaphalakam or Memorial
plaques saluting the spirit of sacrifice of local bravehearts from the village, panchayat, block, town,
city, municipality etc. are to be erected across urban and rural areas. It will have Prime Minister’s
message with the names of those who have laid down their lives for the nation belonging to that
region.
Experience:
India is diverse in its culture, people, religious beliefs and political orientation but one thing that is
common along all the communities is love for their nation.

During the visit we visited the nearby village that is Dankaur, gautam buddh nagar, Uttar Pradesh,
We were spreading the awareness about the pride of the nation, relevance of Independence Day to
the people who are not literate or are under dark so that they are unawared of the events occurred.

We also distributed our tri color flag to all the houses and residents and requested them to hoist the
flag to their houses, shops in respect towards the nation.

Importance of National flag:

The national flag of India, colloquially called Tiraṅgā (the tricolour), is a horizontal rectangular
tricolour flag, the colours being of India saffron, white and India green; with the Ashoka Chakra, a
24-spoke wheel, in navy blue at its centre.[1][2] It was adopted in its present form during a meeting
of the Constituent Assembly held on 22 July 1947, and it became the official flag of the Union of
India on 15 August 1947. The flag was subsequently retained as that of the Republic of India. In
India, the term "tricolour" almost always refers to the Indian national flag.
