1. This question paper contains 38 questions. All questions are compulsory.
2. This question paper has 5 Sections- A, B, C, D, and E.
3. In Section A, Questions no. 1 to 18 are multiple choice questions (MCQs) and
questions number 19 and 20 are Assertion -Reason based questions of 1
mark each.
4. In Section B, Questions no. 21 to 25 are very short answer (VSA) type
questions, carrying 2 marks each.
5. In Section C, Questions no. 26 to 31 are short answer (SA) type questions,
carrying 3 marks each.
6. In Section D, Questions no. 32 to 35 are long answer (LA) type questions

7. In Section E, Questions no. 36 to 38 are case study- based questions carrying
4 marks each.

36. Shweta has to attend her friend’s marriage for which she needs to purchase new
clothes. She purchased 4 shirts and 2 trousers and paid Rs.2400.
(Take the cost of a shirt as x and cost of a trouser as y)

Based on the above, answer the following questions:


(i) Represent the above situation as a linear equation in two variables. 1

she drops her son at school. Now, the location of Saya’s house, her son’s school

and her office are represented by the map below.

Based on the above, answer the following questions:


(i) The co-ordinates of Saya’s office is _______. 1

(ii) In which quadrant, does Saya’s office lie? 1

(iii) Name the figure SOH and find its area. 2
