Chapter 2
Technology Specification

HTML:
In this module we will learn the basics of HTML5. We'll start with instructional videos on how
to set up your development environment, go over HTML5 basics like valid document structure,
which elements can be included inside other elements and which can’t, discuss the meaning and
usefulness of HTML5 semantic tags, and go over essential HTML5 tags.
A deep knowledge of different tags is explained in this section. There are different types of tags
used in HTML5 like for example some tags need to be closed while there are some which does

not need to be closed. However, most of the tags should be closed in the end. However, there are
some which is not mandatory to be closed this includes BR and HR tag. Here BR tag is used for
line break and hr is used to make horizontal line. These two tags contain only opening tags.

CSS:

This chapter is totally based on CSS3. It includes the basic properties of CSS. In the first
module of this chapter, I have learnt about some of the key points which are required while
applying CSS into HTML. This module is all about foundations of cascading style sheets. We
will start with the basics, move on to rule conflict resolution, the box model, and CSS layout
techniques. The full form of CSS is Cascading Style Sheets. It means that Cascading style
sheets, or CSS, is the technology that provides the styling capability. CSS is an incredibly
powerful technology. It can take the same HTML structure and present it in such drastically
different ways that you would never even guess that the underlying structure of the content are
exactly the same ones. Meanwhile he has already shown me his website. In his website he has
applied CSS to it.

JavaScript:
This module is all about JavaScript the language. Now JavaScript is one of the most used
programming languages out there. Yet a lot of people don't really appreciate it's power. In my
personal experience, this is largely due to the lack of understanding of the language
fundamentals. I know, I was once in the same boat as well, I admit it. This is why I believe
learning its fundamentals is crucial.

Another reason why JavaScript doesn't have such a great reputation is historical. In the early
days of the web, the browsers implemented JavaScript support much in the same way they
implemented HTML support, however they pleased. This called a lot of heartache for
developers because you couldn't be certain that your code would run in the same way in all
browsers.

In addition, JavaScript used to lack tooling and frameworks that ease the difficulties with
everyday programming. While things aren't perfect nowadays either they're much better. There

PHP:

PHP (Hypertext Preprocessor) is a popular server-side scripting language used for web
development. Here are some key points about PHP:
