01 - Worksheet - 1 (3) - TRANSPORTATION MANAGEMENT
As COVID-19 spreads around the globe, it has begun to alter our way of life
in every manner. This pandemic has a significant impact on us Filipinos, putting our lives at risk and
making adaptation to this new normal system more difficult. The means of mobility in urban cities,
particularly in rural areas, is one issue that is making our lives much more challenging. It merely adds
to the growing number of unemployed and poverty. To counter this pandemic, we must remain strong
and resilient by first upgrading our health care units in order to boost our immune system in ability to
adjust to these new normal rules. Furthermore, by offering high-tech public transportation in which
each passenger receives their own top-up cards that establish a cashless system in order to prevent
close contact between the passenger and the driver. The public transportation provision should be
constructed in accordance with the IATF and Health Care approved social distancing criteria. It should
also have a double-deck design to accommodate more people while avoiding close interaction. Finally,
in order to avoid additional transportation traffic, the Highway Patrol Group, in collaboration with the
MMDA, should implement a ONE CAR RULE in every family, as well as increase the number of
public transportation options, in order to avoid mass traffic and help our environment in certain ways.
