force majeure, which exempts Philippine Airlines from liability. This is because the incident was
caused by an unforeseeable event beyond the control of the airline, which is under by the act of
men. The lives of the rest of the passengers and crew were more important than their properties
which the situation shows the crew and the agent could not resist the violence and the hijackers
shown their willingness to kill that is why the passengers and crew give their belongings such as
jewelries, money and etc. Also, Mr. Quisumbing failed to notify or surrendered to the airline or to
the crew the items (such as jewelries, cash and etc) they have in their possession.
