BLOOD BANK MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

Abstract:

Blood Management System is a software application to maintain day-to-day

transactions in a blood Bank. This software helps to register all the donors, blood
tissue collection details issued details, etc. The main objective of this application is
to automate the complete operations of the Blood Bank. They need to maintain
hundreds of records. Also searching should be much faster so they can find the
required details instantly. The existing system does all the work manually which
leads to errors even after repeated cross-checks. In the proposed system manual
works are replaced with a computerized system and this helps the user with details
of patients, donors, camps, etc. Eyesight is one of our most valuable senses and its
importance in our lives is axiomatic.. The loss of eyesight, and the subsequent
inability to perform simple activities, is one of the most severe and restrictive
disorders that a person can suffer. World Health Organization (WHO) estimated that
approximately 80% of the blindness countered in developing countries is avoidable
and could be eliminated if resources were mobilized and systematic action
undertaken. With an increased deployment of skills and resources, certain forms of
blood can either be cured or prevented. The intention of this project is to present a
new management approach for use in the future. The blood Management System is
designed for users to replace the existing paper-based system and to manage the
following information: collection details, issued details, donor and patient details.
These details are to be provided in an efficient manner with the goal of reducing the
time and resources currently for such tasks. A significant part of any blood bank
involves the acquisition, management, and timely retrieval of great volumes of
information. In consideration of the rising competition the blood banks are not in
unity and they are not intact with one another. This project intends to bring blood
donors and recipients to a common online platform. Donors and patients can register
themselves on the site and get the details then and there. It will be very helpful to
users and thus we can make a difference in the lives of blood

The goal of the project is to develop a web application for blood banks to manage
information about their donors and bloodstock. The main objectives of this
website development can be defined as follows:
1. To develop a system that provides functions to support donors to view and
manage their information conveniently.
The goal of the project is to develop a web application for blood banks to manage
information about their donors and bloodstock. The main objectives of this
website development can be defined as follows:
1. To develop a system that provides functions to support donors to view and
manage their information conveniently.

Introduction:

To overcome the above-mentioned issues and make effective blood donation

possible, the proposed solution consists of a web application for users to search for
the nearest blood bank and contact them after the death of a person for donation. The
project entitled Blood Bank Management is a pilot project for a new blood Bank to
be started soon in the city. The management planned for this blood Bank to operate
in the next month. They have a big plan to collect the blood Tissue from many
different sources and distribute the same for the needy. To manage all these they
require full-fledged software which will take care of all these systems.
Scope:

This application is built in such a way that it should suit for all types of blood
Banks management system in future. So every effort is taken to implement this
project in this Bank, on successful implementation in this blood Bank, we can target
other blood Banks.

Objective:

The main objective of this application is to automate the complete operations of the
Blood Bank. They need to maintain hundreds of thousands of records. Also
searching should be very fast so they can find the required detail instantly.
Existing System:

The developed application not only helps users find the nearest blood bank but also
promotes and helps them overcome misconceptions regarding blood donation. From
the survey collected common misconceptions were example; my religion does not
allow it, I use specs so I am unfit for blood donations, and blood can be donated for
family members So we main reasons for all these misconceptions are a lack of
awareness. The application makes use of audio and visual modules to spread
awareness and convince users about the safety and nobility of blood donation.
Today, social networking is one of the biggest tools for information dissemination.
Our application also provides support for social networking thereby helping users
spread the word about blood donation and encourage other people for the same.

Disadvantages of the Existing System:

1. Time waste

2. Difficulty process

Proposed System:

To overcome the above-mentioned issues and make effective blood donation

possible, the proposed solution consists of a mobile application for users to search
for the nearest eye bank and contact them after the death of a person for eye donation.
If there is a potential eye donor, then the procedure can be followed with permission
of family members and cornea extraction can be achieved within the time frame as
mentioned. The developed application not only helps users find the nearest blood
bank but also promotes and helps them overcome misconceptions regarding blood
donation. From the survey collected common misconceptions were examples; my
religion does not allow it, I use specs so I am unfit for blood donations, and blood
can be donated for family members So we main reason for all these misconceptions
is a lack of awareness. Today, social networking is one of the biggest tools for
information dissemination. Our application also provides support for social
networking thereby helping users spread the word about blood donation and
encourage other people for the same.

ADVANTAGE:

1. No time waste.

2. Not a difficult process.

SOFTWARE SPECIFICATION :

RESULTS

Conclusion:

This also helps users to overcome their own misconceptions. It is designed such that
it should work with minimum resources and without the need for internet
connectivity. This will help people in developing countries where mobile data
networks, may not be available at all but still, they can report for organ donations.
There is a lot of scope for a more interactive and engaging user interface so that such
social awareness campaigns will be fun and effective. Considering the impact of
local languages these implementations should be translated into local languages.
Such a system can be modified for other organ donation campaigns and the
difficulties involved should be taken out so that people can contact the respective
authority directly for organ donation. Though there are lots of legal aspects involved
in organ donations, with the help of Official bodies we can solve the problem of
shortage of eye donations and help more and more blinds.
