INTRODUCTION

Blood is an important factor that is very essential in the life of every organism. Nowadays, we see that
people lose their precious life without getting blood at the right time due to improper contact with blood
donors. The software system is an online blood bank management system that helps in managing various
blood bank operations effectively.

OBJECTIVES

To create awareness and solve all these problems this online blood bank app can be of great help as it
provides required info in no time and also helps in quicker decision-making. This also helps to motivate
people to Blood donations easily.

FEATURES

 Users can send blood requests and they can check the donor’s list.
 Management can organize Blood Donation Camps.
 Blood donors can register online.
 Management can manage donor databases by recording their physical and medical statistics.
 Medically qualified management in blood bank for storage and issuance of blood.
 Blood request from one branch to another.
 Displays information about expired blood.

PROBLEM STATEMENT
The problem definition of the system is to launch an online interaction medium for blood donation
management.

The main aim of this project is to help people who need blood in an emergency and to associate some
donors willing to donate their blood to needy people and save their lives.

The user will be able to :

 Search for donors of suitable blood groups and contact them if needed.
 Donate blood by registering themselves with our system and can also become donors.
 Will be able to see the stock of various blood groups.
 Send a request for blood via “Contact us”.
 Get information about all the blood campaigns.

The proposed system will be designed to provide functionalities as mentioned below:

1. Register

The donors/users will be first required to register themselves. In this, the user will be asked for their full
name, age, gender, contact number, address, blood group, email id, password, user id, etc.
*Note: The password should lie between 8to15 characters including digits and some special characters(/,
@, *, etc).

And hence after filling in all the details an OTP will be generated.

2. Login

The registered users do not need to register themselves and can directly log in via user id and password. If
the user forgets a password, they can easily reset it by choosing/clicking “forget password”.

3. Admin

To modify or update the system. And also to see the requests for blood requirements and manage to
contact that person.

4. Volunteers For Blood Campaign

People who want to volunteer can register themselves. The volunteers will be trained properly about the
improvement of donating blood and will encourage other people also.

5. Hospitals Registration

There will be a separate option for hospitals to register themselves. It will require the following information:

 Hospital Name
 Address
 Contact number
 Existing report of their stock
 Name of the owner
 Password

6. About Us

This will display our software and project aims and objectives. The user will also be provided a “contact us”
option inside which the phone number, email id, WhatsApp number, and address will be available.

7. FAQs

This will show the questions, demands, and other stuff along with their answers which are asked frequently
by the users. Where they can also comment on our views or suggestions or ask questions, their replies will
be given as soon as possible.
