Personnel Planning and Recruiting

Think of a one year plan for your company.
For each of the three job descriptions you made for your company, identify the following:
· The number of people you will need
· Identify the method that you used to identify the number and why you used that
method.
· What is the recruitment method(s) you will use to create a pool of applicants for
each position, and why you used each method?
1. Project manager
- The number needed: 3 project managers
- The method: We'll look at the present project portfolio and each Project
Manager's capabilities to manage many projects at once to figure out how many
Project Managers we'll need. To guarantee sufficient coverage, we will also
evaluate the current workload and future projects
- Recruitment methods:
- Internal recruitment: promoting from within those who have shown
proficiency in managing projects. This is to promote advancement
opportunities inside the organization and keep valuable employees from
leaving.
- External job posting: Put up ads on employment boards and industry-
specific sites to find qualified people outside the organization. This
approach guarantees a large pool of candidates with the necessary
qualifications.
2. Sales representative
- The number needed: 5 sales representatives
- The method: We'll evaluate goals for sales, market demand, and the capacity of
the current sales team. We'll think about variables like territory size and typical
sales rep workload.
- Recruitment methods:
- External job posting: Put up ads on employment boards and industry-
specific sites to find qualified people outside the organization. This
approach guarantees a large pool of candidates with sales qualifications.
- Employee referrals: Involve current staff in finding candidates for the
open sales roles. Candidates recommended by current employees tend to
be of a higher caliber, more of a cultural fit, and more likely to be
successful in their new roles.

3. Data analyst
- The number needed: 2 data analysts
- Methods: We will evaluate the size of the present data team in relation to the
anticipated workload, the nature of the projects, and the specific expertise that
will be required.
- Recruitment methods
- Internal recruitment: Investigate potential internal candidates for higher
positions based on their qualifications and experience. This is to promote
advancement opportunities inside the organization and keep valuable
employees from leaving.
- Campus recruitment: Collaborate with educational institutions to find
recent grads with experience in data analysis. This strategy may be a cost-
effective way to fill entry-level roles with new talent.
