BVS Import

1. Export a .csv file from BVS after optimizing a voyage and extending details to include wind, waves, and other necessary data. 2. In V2PS, import the .csv file to create inbound and outbound pilotage legs connecting to an existing sea passage. Add waypoints if ports do not exist in the V2PS database. 3. If ports do exist, select existing berthing/unberthing plans and import the .csv file for the sea passage to complete the plan. Check pilot waypoints and departure/arrival points against the .csv file.

Import a “.

csv” file from BVS to V2PS

1. BVS export:

1 2 3

Once optimization has been performed, in voyage details tab:

1. Extend vessel details to maximum (2 clicks) to obtain WxF and CuF;
2. Extend weather details to maximum (2 clicks) to obtain necessary wind and waves data;
3. Save “.csv” file somewhere you recover it.

2. V2PS import:

Routings are usually from pilot to pilot. You will need to import the “csv” file for the sea passage and to create
the “Man. Out” and “Man. In” (Pilot <=> Berth) in V2PS.

Option 1: Ports do not exist in your V2PS database.

Add WP before the sea passage (Berth to pilot).

Add WP after the sea passage (Pilot to berth).

You can then use the database to import the existing PP for the (un)berthing sequences.

you can create your passage plan.

Import a “.csv” file from BVS to V2PS

Whatever option you chose above:

- Do not forget to check the “last pilot out” and “first pilot in” waypoint.
- Check departure and arrival points from “sfm” file as those points may differ from your
pilot positions.

3. About the “.csv” file:

- File can be open either with excel or with notepad++

- Imported data are: position, Sc (CSS), WxF, CuF and weather data. V2PS then calculates STW and SOG.
