Telling Showing

She was very angry. Her face turned beet red, and her fists clenched so tightly
that her knuckles turned white. With each word she spat
out, her voice quivered with a mix of frustration and
resentment, as if her anger were a fire burning just
beneath the surface.
He felt incredibly sad Tears welled up in his eyes, blurring his vision as he gazed
at the old photograph. His shoulders slumped, and his chest
seemed heavy, as if a lead weight had settled there. He let
out a deep, shuddering sigh, and his voice trembled when he
spoke.

She was overjoyed. Her laughter rang out like a melody, filling the room with
infectious happiness. She couldn't stop smiling, her eyes
sparkling with delight as she jumped up and down, unable to
contain the exuberance bubbling within her.

He was scared. His heart raced like a runaway train, thudding against his
ribcage. Cold sweat trickled down his temple, and his
breaths came in short, shallow gasps. Every creak of the
old house sent shivers down his spine, and his wide-eyed
gaze darted around in search of unseen threats.

He was proud of his As he held the award aloft, his chest swelled with a sense
