New products generally differ from a product line extension. Examples of new products
include things like one-cup gourmet coffee machines. Keurig machine offered the gourmet
coffee experience previously only found in a coffee shops, right at home. Examples of
product line extensions include products like Diet Coke. Coca-Cola company used Diet Coke

Who doesn’t use Toothbrush? And there are toothbrush that are already selling like hot cakes.
For the past decade or so, residents of Mother Earth have been acquainting themselves with
the issues pertaining to the use of plastic. We know, by now, that plastic is not only deadly to
the Eart but also the human and animal life forms it supports. Despite this, plastic remains a
crucial aspect of our lives. In fact, it is the very first polymer over 98% of the world’s
population comes into contact with - the toothbrush. It goes without saying that toothbrushes
are an almost inalienable aspect of civilised life today. But at the same time, when the world
is now coming up with sustainable alternatives to the use of plastic products, maybe it is time
to truly understand what disadvantages plastic toothbrushes hold for human and planet life.
Second is Plastic is a product of liquid gold, i.e., petroleum. The very first polymer that we
use to clean out mouth is made of an indigestible and poisonous substance. Unfortunately, the
toothbrush consists of other toxic materials too. In order to make toothbrushes, plastic is used
in addition to nylon (for the bristles), rubber and this product, invariably, comes into contact
with crude oil by-products. Naturally, since plastic is a product of petroleum, this natural
resource is extracted in large quantities to cater to the toothbrush needs of the world. This
ensures that the already depleted global reserves of petroleum are further drained.
This mini project has been carried out to develop some degree of innovation in this product -
