I. OBJECTIVES:

At the end of the lesson, learners should be able to:

A. identify poultry parasites and diseases based on their signs and symptoms;
B. discover the other common poultry diseases;
C. differentiate internal parasites from external parasites; and,
D. give importance to its treatment.

2. House Rules discussion
3. Self-introduction (both teacher and students)

-Motivation
1. Group students into 5 and let them write what they think are the common
diseases of poultry and let them discuss it to the class.

B. ANALYSIS

1. Why do we need to learn the common poultry diseases and their signs?
2. Do you think it is necessary for us to know the treatment of those
diseases?

C. ABSTRACTION

1. Proceed to the discussion of the common diseases of poultry


2. Discussion of the other common poultry diseases and their treatment
3. Discussion of the difference between internal and external parasites.
D. APPLICATION
1. The teacher will randomly asked the students about what they have
learned from the topic.
IV. EVALUATION

Directions: True or False. Answer T if the statement is correct and F if not.

1. Infectious diseases can be transmitted to other stocks through direct


contact, air, mechanical means and even by farm visitor.
2. Avian Pest can be transmitted through mechanical means such as being
carried by birds and predators.
3. CRD stands for Chronic Respiratory Deficiency.
4. Fowl Fox is a disease caused by Virus.
5. Infectious Coryza is commonly called Colds.
