digits is 31. What number am I? Give as many answers as you can. What strategies did you use to
find the mystery number?

9: A student read 3 000 146 as “three thousand one hundred forty-six.” How would
you explain the student’s error?
The student's error is that the number is three million one hundred and forty-six
and not three thousand one hundred and forty-six. Also, how can some kid just read
three million one hundred and forty-six pages of a book, there are probably not that
many pages in a book anyway.
