INTRODUCTION
Sports villages are mixed-use projects that take inspiration from
olympic villages that are built around olympic games. Olympic villages are
nothing but residential accomodations where competing athletes from all over
the world train for events, socialize with other athletes, most importantly that
would be their home for the next 2 weeks .So a sports village would be mixed-
use project of both residential and community living space for people who
would like to be physically active.
SCOPE
For the past few years, the popularity of healthy living and an active
lifestyle has become a consideration for a growing number of people in our
society. Most mixed-use projects would have a gym/fitness centre and a sauna
to accommodate their requirements, but a genuinely active lifestyle requires
more than that.
AIM
The main aim of this project is that ,it should encourage the
residents to pursue their choice of sports or any means of staying
fit and healthy
This project is not to be restricted the only to sports and
residential projects but also, it can accommodate office or
commercial spaces as per the need .
SITE
The Tamil Nadu government has announced that a 500 acre mega
sports city is set to take shape on Chennai city outskirts. The
project is coming up near Thiruvidanthai , about 30km south of
Chennai on ECR.
This could be a potential site for this project as the projects, sports
city and sports village shares similair ideas.

SYNOPSIS 2
STUDENTS HUB
INTRODUCTION
Mixed-use development is a type of urban development that blends
more than one building uses or functionalities - residential, commercial,
cultural, institutional, where those functions are physically and
functionally integrated, and that provides pedestrian & street
connections. Mixed-use development is generally described as
commuter or pedestrian-friendly, as it allows residents to live, work, and
buy things in the same area. Mixed-use development can take the form
of a single building, a city block, or entire neighbourhoods.
AIM
Flexibility encourages variety and variety is the spice of life. The flexibility of
mixed-use student hub perfectly blends work life, school life, social life, and
every other aspect of life together. Students want to be able to grab a cup of
coffee around the corner, go to a study area, and cool off at the park while in
the same proximity.
The diversity of mixed-use student hub may give them an obvious choice This
project “STUDENTS’ HUB” aims to create a social, cultural and “vibrant” hub,
where students can easily meet, interact and learn from each other. This
building should act as a magnet at the centre surrounded by numerous
universities and institutions, attracting students - leading to interaction and
friendship of students from different colleges.
OBJECTIVE
• To understand people as users of the urban environment.
• To take design decisions in a comprehensive manner understanding their
implications in the larger context and interrelationships between design &
spaces.
• To do justice to the user group and the surroundings.
• To understand possible ways to incorporate sustainability in the design and
blend them in.
SITE
According to Ministry of Human Resource and Development (MHRD), the city
of Pondicherry is one of the cities with quality sources of education with the
oldest universities in it. And it is a city with few comparatively less facilities for
student focused EDUTAINMENT.

for its educational hubs in the country with close to 811 functional
colleges.
More than 55% of the students studying in Pune are from outside
