MINUTES OF MEETING

TIRUPATI,
20-7-2017

In the Department of ECE Department Advisory Committee (DAC) is formed with the
intention to get the valuable advices/suggestions from stake holders and improve quality of
curricular and co-curricular activities. The members have attended the meeting on 20-7-2017 at
4.00PM in the ECE Computer Lab.

Agenda:
 Discussion on Roles and responsibilities of the Committee
 Discussion the Vision and Mission statements as per the feedback from stake holders
Syllabus coverage and submit the same to IQAC.
 Servicing of equipment

The Department Advisory Committee is constituted with the objectives:

 Lead the department towards achieving the vision of the department.


 Formulation and modification of Vision, Mission, PEOs and PSOs of the program.
 Topics beyond the syllabus and additional experiments to meet PEOs, PSOs and POs of
the program.
 Recommending strategies for strengthening the course and program outcomes.
 Thrust areas to conduct co-curricular and extra curricular activities.
 Value added training courses.
 Recent and future trends in technology.
 Review the feedback analysis
 Pursuing development of laboratories equipped with modern, fully computerized
equipment.
 Establishing Memorandum of Understanding with identified companies in the vicinity
 Improving in Industrial Visit standards and industrial training & placements

The advisory Committee comprises of Management representatives, HOD, Faculty members


of the Department, representative from students along with external experts from academics
and industry, alumni, and society.
Minutes of the meeting
 Meeting started with a welcome address by Smt Ch.Saraswathi.Praveenkumar A V, the
chairman read the vision, mission, PEO and PSO statements before the committee.
 Members are satisfied and resolved to submit to IQAC.
 Academicians suggested to follow Rubrics in theory and practical courses
 Decided to circulate the statements among all the stakeholders for comments and
suggestions.
 Technical advisors pointed out that the passed out students need improvement in english
communication.
 Chairperson presented the results of I year, IV Sem and VI sem before the committee.
 Academicians commented on the result that it is satisfactory and discussed the
improvement strategies in the upcoming semesters.
 Decided to conduct student support classes for weak students.

Agenda for the Meeting:

Review of the results.


Measures to improve soft skills.
Study C-16 curriculum (IIyr and IIIyr) and prepare accordingly.
Methods to be followed for Simulation
Discuss on projects and training for final year.

Any other Points that arise in the discussion, with the permission of the Chair person.

Minutes of meeting

1. Prof.A.Lakshmi Devi, Dept of EEE, SVUCE suggested to make extensive use PPTs
in Teaching- Learning process.

2. Prof.T.Rama sree, HoD –ECE, SVUCE suggested to conduct workshop/ seminars to


enhance softskills.

3. It was decided to approach different industries for providing industrial training in


relevant areas.
4.It was also decided to get the faculty trained in Simulation software.

 Members suggested seminars on relevant topics.
 Members reviewed the Rubrics developed for theory and practical courses

communication.
 Chairperson presented the result of odd semester before the committee.
 Decided to conduct student support classes for weak students.
 Proposed to establish Projector room with speakers to present PPTs and Audio Visuals
