Material:
Involved in site Material Receiving Inspection, certification requirements and review of the material
Test Certificates of the vendor supplied material (Valves, piping & pipeline materials, cladded
materials), Welding consumable as per project requirements and relevant Code & Standard.
Regular auditing for the material preservation and storage condition as per project requirements.
Piping
Familiar with the fabrication requirements of cladded pipe, Inconel, Carbon steel, Low Temperature,
Stainless steel, Duplex and Super Duplex Stainless steel, CuNi.
Familiar with Welding Process: SMAW, FCAW, GTAW, SAW welding.
Review of Quality Control Procedures (QCP) as per project specifications and codes & Standards.
Review of Proposed Welding Procedure Specification (PWPS), Inspection and Test Plans (ITP’s), Quality
Control Procedures and witness of procedure qualification Test as per project specification and code
requirements.
Deeply study WPS and ensuring that correct revision of drawings being used and correct WPS used at
site.
Verifying that welders are qualified to the approved WPS’s and maintain continuity record.
Inspection of welder performance qualification and welder audits.
Dimensional inspection of completed spools.
Review of Test Packages and MCC Walk down and issuance of punch items and Test witnessing (Hydro,

Pipe Line
Review of proposed WPS, Inspection of Procedure Qualification Test (PQT) & WQT.
Review of Inspection & Test Plan & Quality Control Procedure.
Ensuring pipe stringing as per procedure and Alignment Sheet (Correct material grade, Pipe No, Heat No,
Pipe Length, Pipe Coating, Physical Damage, Cut Length Traceability).
Performing Regular Weld audit of production joint, Tie-in joint and repair joint as per WPS’s and verifying
welding parameters (Pre-Weld preparations, Weather Condition, Residual magnetism on line pipe, Clamp
type, Pre-heat, Voltage, Amp., travel Speed) and Lifting Equipment and ensuring that swabbing steel disc
can pass thoroughly the joint.
Verifying and monitoring of welder’s performance.
Ensuring welding consumable control, Issuance, Storage, Traceability (Lot No, Batch No) is as per
procedure.
Review of Pipe Book and release segments for joint coating, Lowering and Holiday.
Witness of NDT (MT, PT, Hardness, UT) and Review of reports.
Review of Pipeline Test Packages & MC Dossiers.
Tank Inspection
Review of proposed WPS, Inspection of Procedure Qualification Test (PQT) & WQT.
In-coming material inspection of Rolled plates, Storage (Different grades, Color Coding, Marking,
Identification) and Review of MTC’s.
Local Deviation inspection after erection of each shell plate (Peaking, Banding, Roundness, Plumpness)
Witness of required NDT (MT, PT, Hardness) and other Test (Vacuum Box Test for bottom plates & Roof

Description General
Pre- Inspection meeting with contractors, vender/suppliers and client
representative.
Conducting quality audits of vender/suppliers and sub-contractors.
Review of the Welding Procedure Specification (WPS) and Procedure
Qualification Record (PQR) as per specifications and standards for different
materials.
Witness the Welder Qualification Test as per ASME SEC IX, AWS D 1.1, API
1104.
Witness the destructive testing for welding procedures according to ASME SEC.
IX.
Review the QA/QC procedures, Quality Plan as per project specification and
standards.
Material inspections and verifications with MTC certificates and project
specifications.
Responsible for reviewing requisition & purchase order as per specification
requirements.
Reviewing project specification compliance at the quotation stage.
Coordination with NDT group for carrying-out of non-destructive testing.
For Pipeline
Monitor Pipeline activities, trenching, stringing, welding, lowering, tie-in, coating,
holiday test and hydro test.
Test pack preparations and review all related documents and Punch list
preparations.
Witness of hydrostatic, pneumatic and leak testing.
Internal cleaning by water flashing, air blowing, pigging, and drying.
Turnaround Inspection
Defines with Operations, Maintenance and Engineering departments for
shutdown work scope. Ensures that all preventive and maintenance, inspection,
recertification, repair, overhaul and modifications’ requirements are included in
such scope of works.
Prepares detailed work packages for jobs associated with inspection to be
carried out during Shutdowns.
Ensures co-ordination between various divisions, sections and disciplines
during execution of inspection test plan established for static equipment’s, to
ensure that all act in harmony for smooth execution of shutdown.
