Write a Reflection/Metalog Paper on the Purposes of Literary Criticism in Acquiring Deeper


Understanding and Appreciation of a Literary Work (focusing on Reflection, Organization of
Ideas, Use of Literary Terms, and Language Mechanics).

If you love reading literary works, you might also enjoy talking about them and for me that's
where literary criticism comes in. It's like you're having a conversation about a book or a poem,
but with a purpose. When you're reading a literary piece or work you're diving into a whole new
world created by the author, there are things that are unfamiliar with us. And sometimes,
understanding everything in that world can be tricky or hard and that's where the literary
criticism helps.

It is a guide that helps each one of us to explore the uncover part of a story or the literary terms.
We did the criticism last time and I realized that, there are instances that you might notice things,
like how deep that words author uses, and the feelings of the story or that one phrase gives you.
Literary criticism acts as a lens, illuminating layers of meaning within texts or the terms that is
hard for us to understand, it fosters a deeper understanding of the language.

Additionally, I realized that when you know how to do the criticism, it will help you dig deeper
to one work. It's like putting on a pair of special glasses that help you see things you might have
missed, and when you know how to criticize you can understand a book better, and you can
appreciate it more. You start to see why the author or writer made certain choices and what those
choices mean. Lastly, literary criticism can help each one of us organize or see the whole point
of a work.
