PARTICIPATE & ASSIST

1. Bulletin Board Display

I will help my mentor in choosing the materials to be used as well as suggest what to put in the
bulletin board.

2. Small Group Discussion

I will assist my mentor in dividing the class into groups. I will also him/her in facilitating each
group and relay the instruction so everyone will understand and follow.

3. Checking class attendance in a virtual classroom (i.e Google meet or zoom)

In the Google classroom, I will post an announcement and caption it Attendance or Are you
present? And students will add their comments and I will record their names on the class record.
In a Google meet, I will utilized the Attendance tracking, will turn it on and it will automatically
record students’ attendance in a spreadsheet. In zoom, I will head on the list where names can be
seen and I will record everyone on the list.

NOTICE

Learning Environment 1

 The bulletin board displayed prevention of drugs. It aims to prevent drug abuse among
students through the development of desirable values, attitudes and practices.
 The colorful designs and the photos which makes it more interesting.
 They relay information to students; reinforce lessons, display student work, and more.

Learning Environment 2

 In students’ respective homes.

 Students’ learn by themselves or with the help of the parents or other family members.
 First, I will make sure that they are given the correct set of modules with the right
instructions. I will also do a home visitation for at least once a month for them to assist
their learning.

ANALYZE

I would prefer Learning Environment 1 where learners are in the same room or space because
students and teacher are physically present where lessons are delivered with the teacher
physically facilitating and there is a greater understanding and real world examples from teachers
and classmates.
REFLECT

a. In a face-to-face, learners learn with more physical presence and intervention of the teacher.

b. Virtual learning encourages independence and self-management of the learners because they
are given time to learn on their own and progress at their own rate.

c. Learning environment can be hybrid or a combination of face-to-face and online.

AR PROMPTS

OBSERVE

I think students will need time to adjust on the two learning environment. Like what happened in
this unprecedented time, students are now learning virtually, they must know that it’s far
different from in-person. In the other way around, face-to-face is now uplifted in some areas and
learning will happen physically so students must adjust again where certain protocols must be
considered.

REFLECT

Flexibility, adjustment and considerate behavior must be needed.

PLAN

By being able to adapt to changes and adjust on the best possible ways to learn.

MY CONDUCIVE LEARNING ENVIRONMENT

“The quality of education does not only depend on the teachers as reflected in the performance of
their duties but also in the effective coordination of the school environment”

For education in school to be effective, the environment needs to be conducive to learning,

allowing the students space and time to interact within the learning and teaching process.
Creating and maintaining stimulating learning environments can be achieved through effective
classroom organization, interactive and whole school displays and a climate of innovation.
Developing a classroom environment conducive to learning is a process that entails staging the
physical space, getting the students to cooperate, creating a communal environment, and finally
maintaining a positive classroom climate and culture. A conducive learning environment
increases students' attention and focus, promotes meaningful learning experiences, encourages
higher levels of student performance, and motivates students to practice higher-level critical
thinking skills.

My conducive learning environment must be flexible where there is opportunity to have small
groups and movable walls. Working in small groups address gaps in students' knowledge, allow
students to discover and engage with a range of perspectives, ideas and backgrounds, and assist
students in clarifying their attitudes to and ideas about the subject matter, as they test their own
ideas and attitudes against those of others. A conducive learning environment must be open to all
where areas or learning corners could be shared to anyone. Everyone should be included despite
diversity of learners. Also, it should have access to resources where audio-visual materials are
ready and open for use. Audio visual materials are important tools for teaching learning process.
It helps the teacher to present the lesson effectively and students learn and retain the concepts
better and for longer duration. Use of audio visual aids improves student's critical and analytical
thinking.

A conducive learning environment must be clean to provide a healthy and safe environment for
students. It should also be safe because safety in schools is necessary to support the academic
success of each child, giving them the opportunity to learn and achieve in a safe and nurturing
environment. The classroom should also be well-lit and well-ventilated for the students to feel
comfortable in doing the tasks and it will also contribute to their motivation and achievement in
class. Also, a conducive learning environment should have a psychological atmosphere where
the school must be friendly and accommodating. The school must contribute to the students’
wellness. To enhance students’ academic performance, and development and growth, the school
environment is an important area that should be studied and managed well.
