Nominative (Nominativ)

Questions: Who? What? (Tko? Što?)

Endings:

Masculine: - (pas), plural -i (psi)

Feminine: -a (kuća), plural -e (kuće)

Neuter: -o (more), -e (stablo), plural -a (mora, stabla)

Example: "Pas trči." (The dog runs.) / "Kuće su velike." (The houses are big.)

Genitive (Genitiv)

Questions: Whose? Of what? (Čiji? Čega?)

Endings:

Masculine: -a (psa), plural -a (pasa)

Feminine: -e (kuće), plural -a (kuća)

Neuter: -a (mora), -a (stabla), plural -a (mora, stabala)

Example: "Boja psa." (The color of the dog.) / "Prozori kuća." (The windows of the houses.)

Dative (Dativ)

Questions: To whom? For whom? (Kome? Čemu?)

Endings:

Masculine: -u (psu), plural -ima (psima)

Feminine: -i (kući), plural -ama (kućama)

Neuter: -u (moru), -u (stablu), plural -ima (morima, stablima)

Example: "Dajem kost psu." (I give a bone to the dog.) / "Pričam o kućama." (I am talking about houses.)

Accusative (Akuzativ)

Questions: Whom? What? (Koga? Što?)

Endings:

Masculine: -a (psa), plural -e (pse)


Feminine: -u (kuću), plural -e (kuće)

Neuter: -o (more), -e (stablo), plural -a (mora, stabla)

Example: "Vidim psa." (I see the dog.) / "Gradimo kuće." (We are building houses.)

Vocative (Vokativ)

Questions: O! (Oh!)

Endings:

Masculine: -e (pse), plural -i (psi)

Feminine: -o (kućo), plural -e (kuće)

Neuter: -o (more), -e (stablo), plural -a (mora, stabla)

Example: "O, pse!" (Oh, dog!) / "O, kuće!" (Oh, houses!)

Instrumental (Instrumental)

Questions: With whom? With what? (S kim? S čim?)

Endings:

Masculine: -om (psom), plural -ima (psima)

Feminine: -om (kućom), plural -ama (kućama)

Neuter: -om (morem), -om (stablom), plural -ima (morima, stablima)

Example: "Putujem brodom." (I travel by boat.) / "Šetamo parkom." (We walk through the park.)

Locative (Lokativ)

Questions: About whom? About what? (O kome? O čemu?)

Endings:

Masculine: -u (psu), plural -ima (psima)

Feminine: -i (kući), plural -ama (kućama)

Neuter: -u (moru), -u (stablu), plural -ima (morima, stablima)

Example: "Pričamo o psu." (We talk about the dog.) / "Razmišljamo o kućama." (We think about the
houses.)
