One of the challenges is ensuring a balanced comparison, where neither subject dominates the
discussion. Striking the right balance and providing insightful analysis requires critical thinking and a
deep understanding of the chosen prompts. Additionally, selecting relevant criteria for comparison
and contrast can be a complex task, as it requires a nuanced understanding of the nuances and
intricacies of the prompts.

Another aspect that adds to the complexity is the need for effective transitions between different

The Nottingham Pulse Rig Towards Determining The
Mechanism...
This Chapter discusses the progress made using the Nottingham Pulse Rig towards
determining the mechanism of the Fischer Tropsch reaction. A summary of the three
main mechanisms proposed in the literature was outlined in Chapter 1 but is still the
subject of much debate.1 6 Generally the carbide mechanism is accepted for Fe
catalysts,7 but the mechanism over Co catalysts is less clear.1 Ge and Neurock,8 as
well as Ojeda et al.,4 have suggested that the carbide mechanism is the pathway for FT
synthesis on Co catalysts. However, they disagree over the route to CO dissociation;
direct dissociation of the carbonyl bond has been proposed by Ge and Neurock, whilst
Ojeda et al. have concluded that carbonyl dissociation proceeds via an H assisted... Show

3.1.1 On the Mechanism and Active Site of the FT Process Over Co Catalysts Several
studies have investigated the effect of syngas on the structure of metallic Co
catalysts.9 12 For instance, Karaca et al. investigated the effect of syngas on a CoPt
/Al2O3 catalyst using X Ray Diffraction (XRD).9 After reducing the catalyst in H2 at
623 K, XRD peaks were observed for face centred cubic (fcc) and hexagonal close
packed (hcp) structures of metallic Co. After exposure to 20 bar of syngas at 493 K,
the fcc XRD peaks became narrower over 5 hrs, which was suggested to be due to an
increase in the particle size due to sintering of the Co metal phase. Over the
subsequent 5 hrs this peak decreased in intensity and a new peak assigned to a carbide
phase grew in. Therefore, the authors concluded that deactivation of the catalyst was
due initially to sintering and then, over longer periods of time, to carbidisation.
Wilson and de Groot have investigated the surface reorganisation of a model Co
catalyst upon exposure to 4 bar of a H2/CO mixture (2:1 ratio) at 523 K.10 11 The
surface was examined ex situ in an Ultra High Vacuum (UHV) chamber before and
after exposure to syngas using a Scanning Tunnelling Microscope (STM). Before
exposure to CO the surface consisted of flat terraces, with a Co(0001) structure. The
terrace surfaces were separated by cliff edges ranging in size from single atom high steps
A Short Note On Visa Program Vs. Visa Programs
How does the J 1 visa program compare to the H 2 visa program? How do the employer
sponsorship requirements, work protections, problems, and litigation trends, and other
components of the programs compare? Short Answer The J 1 visa program is very
unlike the H 2 visa program in design, oversight, and regulation. The J 1 visa program
contains 15 different categories of participants, where some, such as secondary
students, are generally not allowed to work. Furthermore, sponsor requirements for
the J 1 visa program are not at the employer level, but a level above with so called
sponsors. The J 1 program, like the H 2 program does suffer employer abuse in such
things as wages and hours, but for different reasons. Unlike the H 2 visa... Show more

The J 1 visa program dwarves the H 2 visa program. For example, in 2013, estimates
were that there were 215,866 J 1 visa participants as compared to 74,859 H 2A workers
and 94,919 H 2B workers. J 1 visa participants are like H 2 workers in that they lack
access to many public benefits and such things as federal funded lawyers.
b.Sponsorship and Employer Requirements To qualify as a sponsor for the J 1 visa
program, an entity must be a U.S. government entity at any level, an international
organization or agency that the U.S. is a member of and have an office in the U.S., or
[r]eputable organizations that are United States Persons. To earn a sponsor
designation, such entity must: (1) Demonstrate, to the Department of State s
satisfaction, its ability to comply and remain in continual compliance with all
applicable provisions of this part; (2) Meet at all times its financial obligations and
responsibilities attendant to successful sponsorship of its exchange visitor program;
and (3) Demonstrate that the organization or its proposed Responsible Officer has no
fewer than three years experience in international exchange. The Department of State (
DOS ) which oversees the J 1 visa program states that it only has powers to sanction
sponsors and not employers. Therefore, unlike the H 2 visa program, oversight of
employers is left to sponsors. Sponsors screen and select visa participants, like
employers in the H 2 visa program, however, here there is an English
Mrc, Inc. (a)
Case summary:

MRC, Inc. is a Cleveland based manufacturing company specialized in power brake

systems for trucks, buses, and automobiles; industrial furnaces and heat treating
equipment; and automobile, truck and bus frames. As till 1957 most of MRC s sales
were made to less than a dozen large companies in the automotive industry, it was
exposed to the risk inherent in selling to a few customers in a very cyclical and
competitive market. To minimize the risk and to explore new business opportunity MRC
s management decided to diversify their business operation. After their fifth successful
acquisition, the CEO of MRC Archibald Brinton faced with a dilemma of whether to buy

Q3. Should MRC acquire ARI at the price now available? In answering this question,
consider (at least) the following two alternatives frameworks:

Valuation based on projected cash flows, using a discount rate of 15%;

A situation where MRC must liquidate ARI immediately.

Ans. We know, business valuation is a process and a set of procedures used to estimate
the economic value of an owner s interest in a business. Valuation is usually used by
financial market participants to determine the price they are willing to pay or receive to
acquire a business. In addition to estimating the selling price of a business, the same
valuation tools are often used by business appraisers to resolve disputes related to estate
and gift taxation, divorce litigation, allocate business purchase price among business
assets, establish a formula for estimating the value of partners ownership interest for buy
sell agreements, and many other business and legal purposes.

One of the most common used methods of valuation of a business is Discounted Cash
Flow method . This method estimates the value of an asset based on its expected future
cash flows, which are discounted to the present (i.e., the present value). This concept of
discounting future money is commonly known as the time value of money. For instance,
an asset that matures and pays $1 in
Relationship Between Jazz And Music
Jazz is a form of meaningful communication that exists without verbal exchanges.
Besides being a pleasure to the ear, jazz music is a type of music that a talented composer
arranges. The emotional performance of the musician undergoes many changes. The
personal experiences of each musician makes the musicspecial through the use of his
phalanges. This intimacy is then used to convey certain ideals that pertains to an issue
outside of music. The extensive impact that the communication between the performer
and the audience creates makes jazzunique; no other form of music has the ability to
influence issues in other subject areas so easily. Jazz is a form of music that allows the
musician to express the values that he or she holds. Aspects... Show more content on

Jazz by Jelly Roll Martin, I could envision the musicians performing this song on the
stage. The swing of the music that saw smooth changes between musicians helped me
view the song in a different light. Before reading about the history of jazz and its unique
aspects, I would have treated this song as an ordinary song. However, with the
knowledge I now hold, I realize that this song is unique and powerful. The solos that
occur throughout the piece with the piano background shows the improvisation that jazz
musicians must pull off throughout the performance. In addition, the transitions from
one musician to the other was significant in showing the call and response aspect of jazz.
I could specifically detect this call and response when the vocalist came on around
halfway through the song. While the vocalist was resting, the instruments would fill the
void left by the silence. The way that each musician responds to each other gave the song
a sense of community and intimacy which pulled the listener in to receive the message
that the song was trying to
