Current Events Essay
Current Events Essay
Writing an essay on the topic of current events can be both challenging and demanding. The
difficulty arises from the ever-changing nature of the subject matter, as current events are constantly
evolving and new developments unfold regularly. Staying updated on the latest news, analyzing
various perspectives, and forming well-informed opinions require a significant amount of time and
effort.
Moreover, the sheer breadth of topics within the realm of current events can be overwhelming. From
political issues and global affairs to social trends and technological advancements, the range of
subjects to cover is vast. Selecting a specific focus and narrowing down the scope of the essay can be
a daunting task in itself.
Additionally, the need for accuracy and reliability in sourcing information adds another layer of
complexity. Ensuring that the facts presented in the essay are current and credible requires thorough
research and fact-checking. With the rapid dissemination of information through various media
channels, discerning between reliable and biased sources becomes a crucial aspect of the writing
process.
Furthermore, the emotional and controversial nature of many current events topics may present
challenges in maintaining objectivity. Striking a balance between expressing personal opinions and
providing a fair, well-rounded analysis can be tricky.
Despite these challenges, writing a current events essay can also be an intellectually rewarding
experience. It allows the writer to engage with contemporary issues, contribute to discussions, and
develop critical thinking skills. The process of crafting a well-researched and thought-provoking
essay on current events can enhance one's ability to analyze information, evaluate arguments, and
articulate ideas effectively.
In conclusion, writing a current events essay demands a combination of research skills, critical
thinking, and the ability to adapt to evolving information. While it may be challenging, it provides
an opportunity for intellectual growth and meaningful contributions to ongoing conversations about
the world we live in.

Non-commissioned Officer and Integrity
According to dictionary.com, integrity is the adherence to moral and ethical principles;
soundness of moral character; honesty. According to the Army Values, the definition of
integrity is to do what s right, legally and morally. It continues to say that integrity is a
quality you develop by adhering to moral principles and that it requires that you do and
say nothing that deceives others. Integrityis something that is instilled in us in the
beginning of basic training. As we grow in our military career, we learn that all Army
values, including integrity still apply during off duty hours and when not in uniform.
We are Soldiers always; twenty four hours a day, seven days a week. Integrity is not
solely based upon the actions of an... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Leaders will most likely micromanage Soldiers who lack integrity because of their lack
of trust in their ability to accomplish the mission.
As a Non Commissioned Officer (NCO) in the Army, I am charged with the
responsibilities of enforcing the Army Values, all standards and policies placed by my
leaders and ensuring that I am setting the right example for all Soldiers, whether in my
command or not, to emulate. Integrity becomes a major factor in my ability to do the
things I am charged with. I will not compromise my integrity nor my moral courage.
This line of the NCO Creed speaks great volumes. If my Soldiers do not trust that I will
always try to do the right thing, they won t either. Since I have been in the military, I
have always heard that all Soldiers are a direct reflection of their leadership.
Therefore, if I as their leader lack integrity, my Soldiers will most likely lack it as well.
If my Soldiers don t trust me, they will not communicate their problems and issues
with me. In this, I have already failed my Soldiers; I can t assist with a problem/issue I
am unaware of. Any problem not addressed and corrected will only grow to become a
much larger problem. When Soldiers are faced with problems of any sort, whether it be
personal, financial, marital, etc. it hinders the Soldier from doing their tasks to the best
of their ability. In addition to my Soldiers trusting me, my Chain of Command must
Dan Russell s The Breakers-Personal Narrative
The sun was just above the horizon. A gentle breeze blew and I caught the strong
smell of blood, followed by the faint smell of fresh paint. I felt a wave of nausea. For a
second there I wished I could escape the reality. But I knew I couldn t. I had to help but
I didn t know how. Soon, I caught the scent of Dan Russell. He was right next to me. I
could feel an intense gaze. I couldn t look at him. He morphed into his human form.
The Breakers. Why? Dan Russell was snarling.
The voice echoed in my head. The Breakers, Breakers, Breakers. It kept repeating again
and again in my head. I couldn t make it stop. Yes, the Breakers. It was their fault. I had
nothing to do with it. Really, you had nothing to do with it... You couldn t control
yourself... You had to complete it... You killed... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

There were a few days that she would wag and go out but other than that she was
behaving better.
Dad came back just before Christmas and the entire family had a lovely holiday.
Grandma and Dallas spent half the day preparing and cooking dinner. Dad enjoyed living
in Adelaide, complimenting it on having that country feel.
Mum still disagrees about Bullet Head and Dallas getting married while Dad and
Grandma are supporting them all the way.
The Breakers have disbanded and everyone is going their own way. The police find out
that Luke is innocent and was forced to join the Breakers. The other guys were all fined
and have now started going to school like a typical kid.
I walked home by myself today. I stopped by the grave of the fox. It seems like
yesterday that I buried it. Then I remembered about Dan Russell. I was wondering
where he was at that very moment. I tried to call for him but no one came. Why was
Dan Russell not coming? Did he not exist? Was he my imagination? I remembered that
dream I had so many months ago. It seemed so realistic. It didn t matter now. What did
matter was the history assignment that I ve got to get in by next
My Favorite Class
I thought it was going to be a normal day. Afterall, the day had started out normal. I
woke up, got ready, and went to school. All of my morning classes had passed by
pretty quickly. The bell that signals the end of fourth period rang, and I headed to my
least favorite class of the day, Language Arts. Now you might be wondering why I hate
that class so much, it s not because I dislike the subject, it s because of the people that
were in it. I sat in the middle of my row and I was literally surrounded by bullies. I got
picked on pretty badly in that class on a daily basis, and I usually wasn t in a good
mood afterwards. After dragging through the rest of the day, school finally ended. I
was so excited to finally be able to go home and enjoy my weekend. My cousin picked
me up and she surprised my other cousins and I with a treat. She took us to get ice
cream and play games at Southland. I was shocked because the original plan was for
me to be dropped off at my moms work. I didn t pay this much mind because I was
happy that I was going to get ice cream. After my mom got off work, she met my
cousin across the street from Southland to pick me up. When I got in the car with her,
I pulled out my phone. I knew something was off because she told me not to get on it.
Her excuse for me not to get on my phone was that she didn t want me to get in trouble
with my brother s dad for using too much data. This made me somewhat agitated because
I knew that I had plenty of data left. When we
Political Citizenship
The way of being appointed to become a senator has been undemocratic in nature from
its creation. There are very few written rules and principles to appoint individuals, and
very few rules for senators to successfully represent the region they reside in due to
political patronage and partisanship. To become a senator in Canada, the onus falls
primarily upon the Prime Minister. The governor general or sovereign formally
appoints Senators with the advice of the Prime Minister; the Governor General has no
stake in the matter besides formally putting a stamp on the Prime Minister s decisions
(McCullough, 2015). The Prime Minister therefore has the free will and political ability
to ultimately reward a Senator position to whomever he or she wishes. The Prime
Minister will generally grant these positions to individuals that present greater allegiance
to their political party, this act is defined as political patronage and further secretes
notions of partisanship (Lemieux, Noel 2006). Many Senators become appointed by
being associated with the Prime Minister s... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Political patronage can be considered, an undemocratic act of the Prime Minister to take
partisan selection of who will help run the nation without the consideration of the people
or other representative members of parliament that were chosen based on the people.
Looking into the deeper meaning of this undemocratic appointment process, it can be
concluded that the senate is essentially part of this control system. Those who do look
see how utterly Parliament s upper house is an instrument of power, used like a personal
handmaid by our country s Prime Ministers (Boyer 2014, 212). If Canada is considered
a democratic nation, then why are individuals involved in important decisions to the
nation being chosen based on allegiance and not represented by election from the
