The technical explanation for BioKubes stable cleaning

process and total elimination of smell is


the patented cleaning process

BioKube patented cleaning process covers the following aspects:

1. The septic tank [1] is fully integrated in the cleaning process.


All particles are removed. The large volume and timer-controlled return flush of oxidized treated
wastewater increases the effectiveness of the septic tank and evens out fluctuations in the incoming
load, for instance a hotel with low season occupancy.
2. Timer controlled inflow from buffer tank [2] ensures continues nourishment to the bacteria
Wastewater is led to the treatment chambers every 15 minutes evenly distributed over the 24-hour day
cycle. This gives optimum distribution of nourishment to the bacteria and dilutes any incoming
chemicals.
3. Timer controlled return flush to the septic tank [3] eliminates all smell.
What smells in a wastewater treatment system is Hydrogen Sulfide (H2S) which is created in
wastewater with no oxygen. In a BioKube, where treated aerated wastewater is recirculated back to
the septic tank it eliminates development of H2S. This also increases service life of mechanical parts.

4. Continues recirculation to the septic tank even with no incoming fresh wastewater [4]
In periods with no incoming fresh wastewater for instance at a hotel with low occupancy or a
summerhouse in winter, this ensures nourishment to the bacteria.

5. Continuous recirculation from the settling zones removes all biological sludge [5].
By constantly removing biological sludge to the septic tank, the system is kept free from sludge and this
also gives very low outgoing SS in the treated water.

BioKube system installed in Notambouri, Bangkok

The system in Notambouri was delivered with very strict and special requirements:

1. Very limited space, small footprint a requirement.


The system was built in a heavily populated area in Bangkok.
The system was to be installed on the premises of the cities town hall.
There was no free space, so the system had to be covered in a way where the area after
installation could be used for other purposes.
2. NO smell and No noise.
It was a requirement that there was neither noise nor small from the operating system after
installation.
