REACTION PAPER ON THE CONDUCT OF HRF AND SRF SKILLS

I. INTRODUCTION
“Fitness” is an important indicator of one’s physical and mental functioning. In particular, good Health-related
Physical Fitness (including cardiorespiratory endurance, muscular strength and endurance, flexibility, as well as body
composition) is related to lower rates of cardiovascular diseases, better sleep quality, mood, and quality of life. Health-
related physical fitness and skill-related physical fitness are the two categories of physical fitness that are most frequently
recognized. Physical exercise ranging from moderate to strenuous is a sign of health-related fitness. People who tend not
to exercise at high intensities are better suited for health-related fitness. Activities pertaining to health and fitness can be
included into routines that are frequently described as lifestyle pursuits. On the other hand, skill-related physical fitness
encompasses both physical performance-related and health-related elements. For those who can and want to perform at a
high level, skill-related fitness is the best option, but because it necessitates high-intensity training and exercise, it is not
as popular with most people.

II. DEFINITION OF TERMS

HEALTH-RELATED WELLNESS. These are the five components of wellness adaptability, cardiovascular
wellness, solid quality, strong continuance, and body composition. Wellness is for everybody and being physically fit is
critical, a sign of great wellbeing. Knowing physical fitness entails knowing its two components: skill-related fitness
(SRF) and health-related fitness (HRF). SRF describes a person's aptitude for participating in sports. In essence, we were
instructed to exercise regularly as a minimal means of preserving physical well-being and averting severe ailments.
Lifting weights is highly recommended, however prolonged sitting is not. Maintaining physical activity has a connection
to health and is crucial. Additionally, knowing the five aspects of physical fitness that are related to health will help you
create a more effective program or routine for overall wellbeing. Health-related fitness (HRF) is theoretically defined as a
multidimensional construct containing the components cardiorespiratory endurance, muscular strength, muscular
endurance, flexibility and body composition. One of the many reasons why people are less physically active these days is
the progress of science and technology. HRF: Body composition, cardiovascular endurance, Flexibility, Muscular
endurance, Muscular strength. SRF: Agility, Balance, Coordination (hand-eye and/or foot-eye), Power, Reaction time,
Speed. The ability of the body to adjust to external stimuli, including stress, emergencies, and leisure time, is referred to
as physical fitness. Physical fitness can be divided into two categories: sports-related physical fitness and health-related
physical fitness. Physical fitness related to health consists of five elements:
Cardiorespiratory Endurance: The lungs and heart work together to pump oxygen to working muscles and tissues.
Improving cardiorespiratory endurance enable you to physically perform for longer without getting tired. It also helps
boost one’s efficiency in carrying out everyday activities.
Muscular Strength and Endurance: Muscular strength refers to the amount of force you can put forth with your
muscles, while muscular endurance refers to how many times you can move that weight without getting exhausted. Good
muscular strength and endurance can promote health, prevent injuries and improve work efficiency. Muscular strength
and endurance can be built up by doing weight training.
Flexibility: It is the range of movement through which a joint or sequence of joints can move. People with good
flexibility can move freely and are likely to have better posture. Poor flexibility limits proper joint motion.
Body Composition: Several formulas can be used to measure body composition, such as body fat ratio, Body
Mass Index (BMI),waist–hip ratio etc. Having a value within the normal range means that you have a lower risk of
cardiovascular disease.
Health Related Fitness Components and Their Fitness Test
Body Composition 2. Cardiovascular Endurance, 3-Minute Step Test 3. Flexibility, Zipper Test 4. Muscular Endurance,
Push-ups 5. Muscular Strength
Skills Related Fitness Components and Their Fitness Test
1. Agility, Hexagonal Agility Test 2. Balance, Stork Balance Stand Test 3. Coordination, Juggling 4. Power, Standing
Long Jump 5. Reaction Time, Stick Drop Test 6. Speed, 40-meter Sprint
Sports-related Physical Fitness involves skills that will enhance one’s performance in athletic or sports events. It
includes components of agility, coordination, balance, speed, power, and reaction time. Improving your overall fitness can
help you no matter what sport or other form of exercise you engage in. But where performance is concerned, the greatest
improvements arise from training that develops skills specifically related to your activity of choice.
For instance, you need cardiovascular endurance and flexibility to play tennis. But to become good at tennis, you have
to work on skill-related fitness components like agility, power, speed, and hand-eye coordination. It's this focus on
activity-related skills that differentiate two distinct areas of fitness development. In addition to the 5 health-related
components, there are 6 skill-related components that assist in developing optimal fitness: speed, agility, coordination,
balance, power, and reaction time. Although important, these areas do not directly affect a person’s health. A person’s
ability to perform ladder drills (also known as agility drills) is not related to his/her long term heart health. However,
coordination of muscle movements may be helpful in developing muscular strength through resistance training. As such,
they may indirectly affect the 5 areas associated with health-related fitness. Skill-related components are more often
associated with sports performance and skill development.

III. ANALYSIS
As I carried out those tasks, I could feel my muscles and joints extending as I completed each one, but I also noted
that it was exhausting and that my breathing was getting faster and heavier. Not all activities are difficult, some are easy to
do, there are activities that really stretch my body, some are fast and some are slow. We worked on cardio and flexibility,
so those exercises made me feel really full. After completing them all, I was out of breath. I can raise my level of fitness
by establishing objectives, tracking my development fairly, and avoiding making things too difficult or too quick. After I
did all the activities I felt tired and my foot hurt, I couldn't walk a bit because of the 3 minute step test. My foot hurt for
three days, but now it’s okay and I'm energetic, it's like I don't feel pain when I walk far. After exercise, it's critical to pay
attention to my body and give it the rest and nourishment it needs to recuperate and adjust. Regular practice of fitness- and
health-related skills can improve athletic performance and other physical activities as well as long-term health advantages.

IV. CONCLUSION
The benefits of doing the SRF and HRF can be felt by the body. Engaging in those activities promotes a more
active and healthy physique. However, not everyone is able to do all of those activities because some people only have
permission to complete light exercise because they have asthma or heart problems and cannot move vigorously or
undertake heavy exercise. It's normal to experience some pain following those activities; this is only our body's way of
responding to the exercises we performed. It will work better if we continue it while following a healthy diet. Our mental
health benefits from letting go of or reducing stress and anxieties. Many people no longer engage in any activities related
to fitness. We take the significance of physical activity for granted, even if we are aware of its health advantages and
relevance. Sadly, a lot of young people no longer participate in physical activities. This could be because of your youth,
your incapacity to perform things effectively, or your existing state of health. Maintaining physical health and fitness can
help you cope with life's responsibilities and stressors. It helps you become a better version of yourself, builds your self-
esteem, and defines your self-concept, all of which are things that come with age. Exercises related to health and fitness
are essential for an individual's overall growth. Fitness activity selection is typically influenced by an individual's age,
skill, and interests. Engaging in health-related activities helps you maintain cardiovascular fitness and slow down the
aging process. There are two types of physical fitness: skill-based and health-related. Your capacity to carry out physical
duties effectively in relation to a certain sport is referred to as skill-related fitness, whilst your daily activities are referred
to as health-related fitness.
REACTION PAPER ON THE CONDUCT OF HRF AND SRF SKILLS

I. INTRODUCTION
Health-related fitness (HRF) is theoretically defined as a multidimensional construct containing the components
of cardiorespiratory endurance, muscular strength, muscular endurance, flexibility, and body composition. Skill-
related fitness (SRF) is a component of physical fitness related to sports or occupational performance. The six
components of skill-related fitness include agility, balance, coordination, power, reaction time, and speed. Exercise is
a bodily activity that enhances our physical fitness and maintains overall health and wellness, while physical activity
is any movement of the body that uses energy. A person who is free from illnesses, can do physical or sports
activities, and still has the extra energy to do more activities is considered to be physically fit.

II. DEFINITION OF TERMS

Physical fitness is a combination of health fitness and body fitness. Health fitness refers to your body’s ability to
fight off diseases. Body fitness, on the other hand, refers to the ability to do strenuous physical or sports activities without
getting tired easily. Engaging in health-related fitness activities can help our bodies become healthier and more active. As
our bodies move, our joints and muscles are stretching and exercising, which is good for our health because it also helps
our blood circulate properly. There's a lot of benefits that you can get from doing the HRF and SRF skills, like:
participating in regular health-related fitness helps you control your weight, prevents diseases and illness, improves your
mood, boosts energy, and promotes better sleep.
Health Related Fitness Components And Their Fitness Test
1. Body Composition – The combination of all the tissues that make up the body such as bones, muscles, organs and body
fat.
Body Mass Index (BMI) - is a person's weight in kilograms (or pounds) divided by the square of height in meters (or
feet). A high BMI can indicate high body fatness.
2. Cardiovascular Endurance – The ability of the heart, lungs, blood vessels, and blood to work efficiently and to supply
the body with oxygen.
3-Minute Step Test - is designed to measure your aerobic fitness. It assesses your fitness level based on how quickly
your heart rate recovers after exercise. The more aerobically fit you are, the quicker your heart rate will return to normal
after exercise.
3. Flexibility – The ability to use your joints fully through a wide range of motion.
Zipper Test – a test of upper arm and shoulder girdle flexibility intended to parallel strength/endurance assessment of
that region
4. Muscular Endurance – The ability to use muscles for a long period of time without tiring.
Push-ups - is a very popular exercise used in upper extremity training. It is a closed kinetic chain exercise that requires
no tools and uses the body weight for resistance.
5. Muscular Strength – The ability of the muscles to lift a heavy weight or exert a lot of force one time.
Curl-ups - to lie or sit with your back curved and your arms and legs bent close to your body.
Skills Related Fitness Components And Their Fitness Test
1. Agility – The ability to change body positions quickly and keep the body under control when moving.
Hexagonal Agility Test - is a measure of speed, agility and the ability to change direction while maintaining a sound
balance (foundation).
2. Balance – The ability to keep the body in a steady position while standing and moving.
Stork Balance Stand Test- it requires the person to stand on one leg, up on the ball of the foot, for as long as possible.
3. Coordination – The ability of the body parts to work together when you perform an activity.
Juggling - works your core and tones your legs by requiring your lower body to maintain balance while your arms are
doing work.
4. Power – The ability to combine strength with speed while moving.
Standing Long Jump - is also known as the standing broad jump. It's a two footed horizontal jump from a standing
position. The long jump is a field event in athletics that combines speed, strength and agility.
5. Reaction Time – The ability to move quickly once a signal to start moving is received.
Stick Drop Test - this test uses the known properties of gravity to determine how long it takes a person to respond to the
dropping of an object by measuring how far the object can falls before being caught.
6. Speed – The ability to move all or a part of the body quickly.
40-meter Sprint - is a 40 meter run primarily to evaluate the speed of a person. It shows how fast a person can finish the
40 meter sprint.

III. ANALYSIS
As I performed those activities, I noticed that it was tiring, and my breath became heavier and faster as I performed
them all, but I could feel my muscles and joints stretching. But I noticed that not all the activities are tiring; there are some
activities where you only need to stretch your body, be active or fast, or jump three times. In every exercise, I can feel the
different effects on my body, especially the day after I perform those exercises. I can feel pain in my back, hips, legs, and
shoulders. I think it's because I'm doing it again after a long time. I can say that if it's your first time doing those activities,
you can feel pain. It's because of the movements that you do that are new to your body or muscles. Your muscles and
joints are still getting used to it; that's why you can feel some pain when doing it for the first time. You can feel pain in
your body when you do full-strength exercises or when you do those exercises with your strength and muscles for a long
period of time. But as time goes by and you still continue doing those activities and exercises, your body becomes familiar
with them, and you don't feel much tired or get easily tired while doing them. But in addition to the pain I can feel after
doing those exercises, I can also feel that my body has become lighter or more active. I can say that my joints and muscles
did stretch, and it's giving me a good and light feeling. I can feel that it really helps to make my blood circulate because I
breathe normally and my energy becomes more active. Those activities also help my mental health because, while doing
them, they relieve my stress and make me enjoy them. Being active can boost your feel-good endorphins and distract you
from your daily worries.

IV. CONCLUSION
Doing the HRF and SRF can really benefit the body. Performing those activities helps our body be more active and
healthy. But not all people can perform all those exercises because there are some people who have heart disease or
asthma and are not allowed to move vigorously or to do heavy exercise; they are only allowed to do light exercises.
Feeling some pain after doing those activities is normal; it just proves that our body is reacting to the exercises we did. If
we continue it with a proper diet, it will be more effective. It also helps our mental health to reduce or forget our stress or
worries. Overall, I can say that health-related fitness activities are really good for our health, both physically and mentally.
HEALTH-RELATED FITNESS AND SKILLS-RELATED FITNESS

I. INTRODUCTION
In the pursuit of a healthy and balanced lifestyle, it is crucial to understand the interplay between health-related
fitness (HRF) and skills-related fitness (SRF). HRF encompasses the physical attributes that contribute to overall well-
being, while SRF focuses on the specific skills required for various physical activities and sports. This essay explores the
significance of both HRF and SRF, highlighting their complementary nature and the importance of integrating them for a
holistic approach to physical fitness.

II. DEFINITION OF TERMS

The concept of HRF encompasses five key components: cardiovascular endurance, muscular strength, muscular
endurance, flexibility, and body composition. These components collectively determine an individual's physical health
and ability to perform daily activities with ease. By developing and maintaining optimal levels of HRF, individuals can
reduce the risk of chronic diseases, enhance their energy levels, and improve their overall quality of life.
On the other hand, SRF refers to the specific skills and abilities required to excel in various physical activities,
sports, and recreational pursuits. These skills include agility, coordination, balance, power, speed, and reaction time.
Developing SRF allows individuals to perform specific movements and techniques efficiently, improving their
performance in sports and enhancing their overall physical capabilities.
While HRF and SRF are distinct, they are interconnected and mutually reinforcing. For instance, a high level of
cardiovascular endurance (HRF) can enhance an individual's performance in endurance-based sports (SRF). Similarly,
improved coordination and balance (SRF) can contribute to injury prevention and better execution of exercises, thereby
enhancing overall physical health (HRF).
By integrating HRF and SRF, individuals can achieve a well-rounded approach to physical fitness. This
integration not only promotes optimal health but also enhances athletic performance, functional movement, and overall
physical competence. It allows individuals to engage in a wide range of physical activities, adapt to different challenges,
and enjoy a more fulfilling and active lifestyle.

simple. It turned out to be challenging since it was exhausting, especially for someone like me who is a little overweight,
and I had a lot of trouble with the HRF.
All I can say about the SRH and HRF skills is that it's wonderful to perform them to grow stronger and healthier of
the body; in particular, the push up and curl up are hard for me to do because I'm obese, and the next day my body hurts, it
hurts to move like I'm dizzy but it goes away after a day.
Our exercise session was amazing physically, and I felt both relaxed and fatigued. My skin seems transparent due to
heavy perspiration. I feel satisfied since my muscles have grown in size, strength, and energy. Furthermore, it is
reinforced in my brain that I am acting morally. We are happier and more confident. The brain sees that as a good thing.
Fitness is the state of being physically well and fit. The term "fitness" is a general term that pertains to my particular
condition of optimal health and overall well-being, despite its broad meaning that might vary depending on the individual.

REACTION PAPER ON THE CONDUCT OF HRF AND SRF SKILLS

I. INTRODUCTION
The importance of Health-Related Fitness (HRF) and Skills-Related Fitness (SRF) skills in today's society cannot be
overstated. Both are essential components in shaping the lives of individuals in terms of health and well-being.

II. DEFINITION OF TERMS

Health-related fitness skills are crucial in promoting and maintaining overall wellness. This includes physical fitness,
mental health, and emotional well-being. These skills are essential in educating individuals on the importance of exercise,
nutrition, and stress management. In today's fast-paced world, the importance of these skills cannot be understated. The
ability to cope with stress, maintain physical health, and nurture mental well-being is vital for overall quality of life.
On the other hand, Skills-Related Fitness (SRF) skills focus on developing specific abilities and capabilities that
contribute to overall fitness and well-being. These skills encompass a wide range of abilities such as strength, endurance,
flexibility, and agility. SRF skills are important in various aspects of life, including sports, recreation, and even
occupational requirements. Developing and maintaining these skills is essential for preventing injuries, improving
performance, and enhancing overall quality of life.
The conduct of both Health-Related Fitness and Skills-Related Fitness skills is paramount to the well-being of
individuals and society as a whole. Educating individuals on the importance of these skills and providing resources to

REACTION PAPER ON THE CONDUCT OF HRF AND SRF SKILLS

I. INTRODUCTION
Skill-related fitness refers to your ability to perform physical tasks efficiency as it relates to a particular sport, and
health-related fitness relates to your day to day activities.

II. DEFINITION OF TERMS

Health related fitness (HRF) is theoretically defined as a multidimensional construct containing the components
cardiorespiratory endurance, muscular strength, muscular endurance, flexibility and body composition.
Given the range of field-based HRF tests available, health practitioners face a difficult task in selecting tests that best
reflect the HRF construct as defined in the literature. This study aimed to investigate the underlying factor structure of the
theoretical HRF construct with a view to identifying field-based tests representative of HRF in youth. Participants were
261 children (53% female, 47% male; mean age 12.22 ± 0.48 years). Indicators of four fitness components (20m shuttle
run, curl-ups, push-ups, horizontal jump, vertical jump, handgrip, and modified back-saver sit-and-reach) were measured.
Confirmatory factor analysis of the four-component model revealed a low contribution of flexibility (.10) to the overall
model, leading to its removal.

III. ANALYSIS
Skill related fitness refers to abilities that help people learn skills. The six parts of skill related fitness agility, balance,
coordination, power, reaction time, and speed are described in table 2.1. Skill related fitness isn't the same as skill. Having
good skill related fitness does help you to learn skills.
IV. CONCLUSION
Health related fitness activities can be integrated into everyday activities that are often characterized as life time
activities. In contrast, skill related physical fitness includes heath related components related to physical performance

REACTION PAPER ON THE CONDUCT OF HRF AND SRF SKILLS

I. Introduction
Health-related fitness is characterized by moderate to vigorous kind of physical activity. Health-related fitness is a better
match for people unwilling to exercise at high intensities because some people may have heart conditions. Health-related
fitness activities can be integrated into everyday activities that are often characterized as lifetime activities because of it
being easy to do. Skill-related fitness is the right choice for people who can and want to perform at a high level, but it is
less acceptable to most people because it requires training and exercising at high intensities. In contrast, Skill-related
physical fitness includes Health-related components, but it also covers components related to physical performance.

II. Definition of terms

III. Analysis
After doing the fitness test I realized that I had poor performance on some of the test and is needed to be improved, and as
I was doing the fitness test some were tiring and exhausting, some are not involve in such vigorous movement, and some
are involved in flexibility of muscle which hurt my muscle after the day the fitness test was done, HRF and SRF are both
helpful in improving both strength and health of the body and is easy to do and can be done anywhere.

IV. Conclusion
In conclusion, both HRF and SRF contributes in improving our body they improve our body’s health, physical strength,
and the ability to do something much easier, because when doing the fitness test you write down your score, time, and the
centimeter of how long or short you score and after writing it down you’ll know what you lack in, for example the score
of your coordination fitness test is low which by means you lack of coordination and it is in need of improving by doing
the fitness test again until you have improve of what you are lacking.

REACTION PAPER ON THE CONDUCT OF HRF AND SRF SKILLS

I. Introduction:
The conduct of Health-Related Fitness (HRF) and Skill-Related Fitness (SRF) skills in health is a vital aspect of
maintaining and improving overall well-being. These two categories of fitness, each encompassing different elements, are
essential in assessing an individual's physical capabilities and aptitude for certain skills.

II. Definition of Terms:

1. Health-Related Fitness (HRF): HRF refers to the components of fitness that are directly related to an individual's
overall health and well-being. These components include cardiovascular endurance, muscular strength, muscular
endurance, flexibility, and body composition. HRF focuses on improving physical health and reducing the risk of chronic
diseases.
2. Skill-Related Fitness (SRF) SRF refers to the components of fitness that are related to an individual's ability to
perform specific skills or tasks. These components include agility, balance, coordination, power, reaction time, and speed.
SRF focuses on enhancing physical abilities and performance in activities that require specific skills.
The conduct of HRF and SRF skills in health is crucial for individuals to achieve optimal physical fitness and overall
well-being. Here is an analysis of each category:
1. Health-Related Fitness (HRF):
- HRF components, such as cardiovascular endurance and muscular strength, are essential for maintaining a healthy
heart, lungs, and muscles.
- Improving flexibility and body composition can enhance mobility, prevent injuries, and promote a healthy body
weight.
- By focusing on HRF, individuals can reduce the risk of chronic diseases, such as heart disease, diabetes, and
obesity.
2. Skill-Related Fitness (SRF):
- SRF components, including agility, balance, coordination, power, reaction time, and speed, are crucial for
performing specific skills or tasks effectively.
- Enhancing SRF can improve performance in sports, recreational activities, and daily tasks that require
coordination, balance, and quick reactions.
- Developing SRF skills can also enhance overall physical performance and reduce the risk of injuries during
physical activities.

III. Analysis:
After engaging in an activity that involves these skills, individuals may experience a range of physical and mental
sensations. Some may feel a sense of accomplishment, pride, or satisfaction from successfully completing the activity.
Others may feel a sense of challenge or excitement from pushing themselves to new limits. Physical sensations may
include increased heart rate, sweating, muscle fatigue, and improved flexibility or strength. Health-related skills refer to
the abilities that contribute to overall health and well-being, such as cardiovascular endurance, muscular strength,
flexibility, and body composition. These skills can be developed through regular physical activity. Skills related to fitness
are the abilities that allow individuals to perform specific physical activities or sports. These skills may include agility,
speed, power, coordination, and balance.

IV. Conclusion:
The conduct of Health-Related Fitness (HRF) and Skill-Related Fitness (SRF) skills in health is essential for
