“REORGANIZATION OF THE MASA MASID TEAM”

WHEREAS, MEMORANDUM CIRCULAR No. 2016-116 Provides for the Implementation of


MASA MASID (Mamamayang Ayao sa Anomalya, Mamamayang Ayao sa Illegal na Droga)
Program.

WHEREAS, in compliance thereto, following the creation of the UBAS Municipal (TWG)
there is a need to organize the main implementing arm of the MASA MASID Program at the
barangay level;

NOW THEREFORE, I , Punong Barangay of Barangay ,


, , by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do
hereby order and direct the following;

Section 1. Composition of the MASA MASID TEAM shall be composed of the following;

A. UBAS Barangay Action Team (BATs) Members;

B. CSO and NGO Members of the following:

9 Other Volunteer in the Barangay Member
10 Other Volunteer in the Barangay Member

Section 2. Roles and Responsibilities. The MASA MASID Team shall perform the following roles
and responsibilities;

On advocacy and Education Campaigns;


a) Conduct information and education campaigns;
b) Organize forums, seminars and related activities on prevention and
demand reduction;
c) Secure the support of local media such as radio, print, and on the use of
social media;
d) Coordinate and partner with the schools for possible partnership on
information drive against illegal drugs;
e) Forge partnership with local organizations whose primary mission is to
fight illegal drugs and illegal drug activities and;
f) Encourage the support of interfaith leaders to incorporate anti-illegal
drugs advocacy in the service.

On information Gathering and reporting;


g) Encourage support of the community on gathering and reporting
information on any incident related to illegal drug activities and;
h) Institute reporting mechanism in consultation with the local PNP and
church/or faith-based organization.

On Community- Community Based Rehabilitation;


i) Monitor the progress of the recovering Drug dependents;
j) Work with the network of local volunteers on the implementation of
interventions for community based rehabilitation programs and;
k) Assist in the reintegration of the recovering drug dependents.

Section 3. Effectivity. This Executive Order Shall Take effect immediately.
