MATHEMATICS-2023-24

NAME______________________________________
[CLASS XI]: SUMMER VACATION ASSIGNMENT

MATHEMATICS HOLIDAY HOMEWORK

Summer holidays provide a good opportunity to consolidate the learning and work on areas
which you are weaker in. Some amount of revision and consolidation of learning during the
school holidays can help you to be better prepared for the next stage of learning when
school reopens.

INSTRUCTION:
1. Kindly attempt the questions on Trigonometric Functions (given below) in your Math
Assignment notebook.
2. Draw graphs for all the six trigonometric functions in your Lab Files with their domain, range
and solution table as discussed in the class.
3. Solve Miscellaneous Exercise on Sequence and Series in your Math Notebooks.
4. The submission date for the above mentioned H.W. is on 4th July 2023.

LEARNING OUTCOME:
(a) The learner can derive the formula for cos (x + y) using geometry.
(b) The learner can derive the formula for cos(x - y), sin(x -y), sin(x + y) with the help of previous derivation.
(c) The learner can derive the formulae for cos (90°+x), cos(180°+x) , cos(180°-x) , cos(270°+x), Cos (270°-x), cos
(360°-x) , cos (360°+x).
(d) The learner can derive the formulae for other trigonometric ratios in all the four quadrants with the help of these
formulae.
(e) The learner can apply these identities in questions
