6. The teacher wears COMPLETE and well-pressed uniform (For men: formal black and
well-polished shoes; For women: formal black with heeled shoes).

D. CLASSROOM MANAGEMENT (10%)

c. individual practice exercises/group works/group projects/projects;
d. passing in and out of the room; and
e. correcting, distributing and collecting papers.
2. Visual aids were within easy reach of the teacher during teaching.
3. The teacher emphasizes the following:
- classroom rules and expectations;
- procedures that minimize downtime
-maintenance of discipline/behavior; and
-maximization of student engagement in learning activities.
4. The teacher puts importance on:
- reinforcement of positive behavior;
-redirection of off-task behaviors/conversations;
-correction of disruptive behavior; and
-modeling of values (i.e. honesty, integrity and responsibility).
5. The teacher demonstrates/models sensitivity to all students; treats all students
respectfully and equitably.

E. COMMUNICATION SKILLS (20%)


1. The teacher exhibits good communication skills.
2. The teacher’s pronunciation, intonation, pace and voice modulation help him/her
illustrate concepts presented during the lesson.

4. The teacher’s questioning skills stimulates discussion in different ways such as:
a. Probing for learner’s understanding;
b. Helping students articulate their ideas and thinking process;
c. Promoting risk-taking and problem solving;
d. Facilitating factual recall
e. Encouraging convergent and divergent thinking;
f. Stimulating curiosity; and
g. Helping students to ask questions.
