THE TYPOLOGY OF
URBAN FAÇADE TEXTURE

where wooden logs were first used as the facade material. Clay,

Typology of facades is a significant aspect of architectural design that

Aludecor’s Innovation and 3D

Facade
At Aludecor, we have been significantly studying the
colour, shape, design, pattern, texture and its myriad
influences on lifestyle in India. Research states, colour
and shapes are two interesting visual languages
understood by all. Hence, they are the major components
of building designs. A building environment becomes
under or over-stimulating depending on the colours and
shapes used.

Besides experimenting with the regular geometric or

organic shapes for facades, Aludecor has innovatively
ventured the three-dimensional space. Studying the
fascinating stories that has emerged out of the creative
landscape of India, Aludecor’s 3D facade designs are
perfect blend of traditionalism and contemporaries.

ALUDECOR Description and Recognition
of Shape Approach

A rchitecture science has been derived from the geometric principles in which
the design lines are usually organized in a mental process. In this regard, the
application of geometric, organic and abstract pattern plays a significant role
in constructing a building that impacts the appearance and form of a building
facade. Keeping this in mind, each and every 3D design crafted by Aludecor has
its own visual voice that creates a new story altogether.

THE INCREDIBLE
ART OF PERFORATION

P erforated metal cladding is an extremely efficient

approach to enliven the facade of a building that would
otherwise be a simple cubic construction. Perforated
cladding may lend depth, texture, and intrigue to a façade,
with everything from uniform circular perforations to
honeycomb-patterned latticework and mesh to three-
dimensional shapes.

Perforated cladding also serves a functional purpose. The

amount of natural light that enters the structure can be
controlled depending on the size of the perforations. Large
perforations allow more natural light to penetrate the

cladding while shielding structures with large glass

elements from direct sunlight. As a result, they
can limit sunlight gain and lessen the demand for
energy-intensive air conditioning equipment.

The “Art of Perforation” is the latest design trend

that we are celebrating at Aludecor. Perforated
Aluminium Composite Panels, which are both
beautiful and intricate, increase the beauty of
architecture by a factor of ten. Aludecor has
perfected itself as a connoisseur of mesmerising
CNC cut designs that crown our
state-of-the-art ACP sheets with all the glory over
the years.
Inspiration

Sheets of ACP are typically punched or stamped

mechanically using CNC (Computer Numerical Control)
technology to create beautiful, intricate perforated
designs. Aludecor Copper and Zinc Composite Panels
can be used for the designs.
Aludecor’s high gloss retention, 300+ shades, and a
plethora of patterned and textured ACP sheets are
the preferred choice of Fabricators and Designers for
selecting the right ACP for perforated designs. Aludecor
ACP sheets are also worker-friendly due to their
lightweight and ease of use.

Principal Architect, Dhingra & Associates, New Delhi

I visited FOAID 2018 in Okhla, and there I saw the stall of Aludecor
where they had displayed their new range - 3D, and I was stunned.
I liked the panels which they had created! I could feel I could come
up with something for my project. I decided that this is what I would
use in my project as this was a new arrival as well!

Too often, it happens that we need to change our infrastructure

for some reason or the other. Aludecor ACP gave us flexibility.
The ACPs are so easy to use. No dust accumulation on them,
and they are so easy to construct. Also, you can change it
overnight in a running hospital. It is an exciting and economical
product to use for your dream project! Also, it’s fire-retardant,
lead-free.
