11 Eo Reorganization of Badac Auxiliary Team (Bat)

WHEREAS, Republic Act 9165, also known as the “Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002”,
protects the state and its individuals from the possible harms brought about by the abuse of illegal drug
substances and it also has provisions supporting the unrelenting campaign against trafficking and use of
illegal drugs through and effective enforcement of anti – drug policies, programs and projects;
WHEREAS, DILG Memorandum Circular No. 2015-63 entitled Revitalization of the Barangay Anti-
Drug Abuse Council (BADAC) and their Role in Drug Clearing Operations provides for the organization of
the BADAC Auxiliary Team to compose an ideal number of 25 members per 2,000 population of the
barangay representing streets, puroks, subdivisions or sitios;
WHEREAS, Section 5 of DDB Regulation No. 3 series of 2017 entitled “Strengthening the
Implementation of Barangay Drug Clearing Program”, mandates for the organization of the BADAC
Auxiliary Team in all local government units;
NOW, THEREFORE, I, TERESITA L. EMPIG, Punong Barangay, Barangay No. 31 Centro-Baybay, City of
Legazpi, by virtue of the power vested in me by law, do hereby order:
There shall be 25 members of the BAT in the barangay. All members of the BAT are residents of the
barangay with good repute for probity and integrity.
SECTION 2. COMPOSITION
The BADAC Auxiliary Team may elect their team coordinators, assistant coordinators and other officers
to make the team more functional and effective. The Barangay Chairpersons shall report their expanded
BADAC or BADAC Auxiliary Team and individual members to CADAC copy furnished the DILG Municipal
Field Office.
