Let’s practice together the continuous tenses

1. Which tenses are used in the underlined verbs? Why are two different
tenses in sentence 2?

a) Hannah is wearing (present continuous) jeans today. She wears jeans


nearly every day. (simple present)
b) Luckily, Hannah was wearing (past continuous) jeans when she fell off her
bike. (simple past)
c) Most women were wearing (past continuous) skirts while men were wearing
(past continuous) suits. It was a great party!

2. Add the –ING to the following verbs
