MANAGEMENT OF LAB CLASS


The lab of Iqra national university thrived for efficient demonstration of experiments. For which
each section is divided into 2 sub section to provide opportunity to every student during hand on
equipment. The following are steps followed during lab demonstration.

For Psychomotor domain assessment the students of the class are distributed into groups of four
students
Step-1: demonstration of theory part of lab class
In this step the lecturer and lab engineer instruct the whole class about the application and
demonstration of the experiment in an approximate of 30 minutes.
Step-2: demonstration on work station
In this step the lab engineer and lab assistant demonstrate the experiment to the sub section of
class in maximum of 30 minutes using lab equipment and accessories.
Step-3: demonstration on work station by students
While demonstration of experiment of on work station by one sub section, the other sub section’s
students are evaluated by lecturer for their cognitive domain based on their previous
experiments.
Step-3: demonstration on work station by group of students
In this step the whole class is divided into groups of 4 students. Each group works to practice on
experiment one by one using lab equipments and materials. The lab instructor evaluates their
effective and psychomotor domain during hands on experiments. Remaining students works to
complete their lab copies and any calculation requires for data evaluation.
