PURPOSE

The purpose of this Method Statement is to detail exactly how to carry As-Built Drawings. The proper procedure is
observed that no activity is neglected during the process in preparing drawings. That this Method Statement assures
the owner that the Contractor is dedicated in preparing documents properly and accurately as one of the Quality
Procedure of the Project to meet the desired project specifications.

SCOPE

This Method Statement includes shop drawings and Issued for Construction Drawings (IFC) marked in red pen and
signed by owner’s representative.

PROCEDURE

As-Built Drawings is prepared if General Drawing are only provided, if no drawings are provided and change of drawing
dimensions, change of materials to be used or installed, omitting of certain item on the drawings and etc.

For Shop Drawings

1. Coordinate with Construction Department and Autocad Operator that shop drawings is required for items that
no detail is present on IFC provided by the owner, if no drawings are provided and change of drawing
dimensions, change of materials to be used or installed, omitting of certain item on the drawings and etc.
2. If the shop drawings are already finish then the QA/QC Engineer will review the drawings for completeness
and properly detailed prior to submittal to the Owners Engineer for approval. In submitting document to the
Owners Engineer their must be a Document Transmittal Cover page with reference number for easier access.
3. When the shop drawing is approved then only work can start at Project Site. But in case the shop drawing
submitted has some clarification then comply all the comments and re-submit the shop drawings and with
same reference number but with revision number of 1.
4. After the shop drawings has been implemented at site then the QA/QC Engineer can inform the Autocad
Operator to transfer the drawings the same size of the IFC, then at the lower left side of the drawing put a
mark of As-Built Drawings.
5. At the end of the project all the As-Built Drawings will be compiled and submit to the Owner for their
reference.

For IFC Drawings marked with red pen

1. Any required change on the drawings must be marked in red clouds and mention the reason and specify in
detail. This is only to be marked by the Owners Engineer and signed to be valid. This information shall be
forwarded to Construction Department for project implementation at site.
2. For change orders, letters, and technical query that mention changes on the site project, then this red cloud
markings on drawings can be done as one way if informing the Contractor those changes had been approved
upon by the owner.
3. After the red marked drawings has been implemented at site then the QA/QC Engineer can inform the Autocad
Operator to draw the same size of the IFC all with red cloud marked drawings with all the newly inputted
details including all the details in the same drawing page that are not affected. Do not include the cloud
markings any-longer, then at the lower left side of the drawing put a mark of As-Built Drawings.
4. At the end of the project all the As-Built Drawings will be compiled and submit to the Owner for their
reference.
