Awareness/ Definition of terms:
Strategy Corrective or reactive activity - unscheduled, unplanned task, usually associated with greater hazards
and higher risk levels like repairing something to get it working again.
Floor buffer - an electrical appliance that is used to clean and maintain non-carpeted floors, such as
hardwood, marble, tile or linoleum. It is also known as a floor polisher or floor burnisher. If it is a
high speed floor buffer with a pad it rotates at over 1000 RPM (rotation per minute).
Preventive or proactive activity - usually a planned and scheduled process that is usually carried out
to keep something functional.
Tools - devices that can be used to achieve a task, but not consumed in the process.
Vacuum cleaner - a device that uses an air pump to create a partial vacuum to suck up dust and dirt,
usually from floors, and optionally from other surfaces as well..
Activity -show pictures of different cleaning tools, equipment, supplies and materials.
Activity 1: Group the class into 2 groups. Let them identify the different tools, equipment, supplies
and materials and their uses using this graphic organizer.
Guide questions:
1. What are the different cleaning tools, equipment, supplies and materials used and even safety
measures that must be observe before doing housekeeping job?
2. What are the importance/ significance of the cleaning tools, equipment, supplies and material?
3. Why it is very important to use tools in cleaning tools, materials, equipment , and supplies in
housekeeping?
Analysis Base on the activity, draw all the students ideas about the different cleaning tools, equipment,
supplies and materials, and their uses using these guide questions:
1. What are the different cleaning tools, equipment, supplies and materials used and even safety
measures that the must be observe before doing this job?
2. What are the importance/ significance of the cleaning tools, equipment, supplies and material?
3. Why it is very important to use tools in cleaning tools, materials, equipment , and supplies in
housekeeping?
Abstraction Discusss all the cleaning tools using POWERPOINT PRESENTATION with pictures.
1. Can you enumerate the different kinds of tools, equipment, supplies and materials used in housekeeping?
2. When can we use these tools, equipment, supplies and materials?

Strategy 1. Explain to students that they will have a pre-test to assess their current knowledge and
understanding of the subject matter.
2. Emphasize that the purpose of the pre-test is not to evaluate their performance but to identify areas
where further instruction and support may be needed.
3. Encourage students to do their best and not to worry if they are unsure of certain answers.
Activity
Preparation:
1. Distribute the pre-test assessment sheets or question papers to each student.
Analysis 2. Briefly explain the format of the pre-test and any specific instructions.
3. Remind students that they have a predetermined amount of time to the pre-test.
Abstraction
Test Administration:
1. Set a timer or stopwatch for the allocated time for the pre-test.

2. Instruct students to read each question carefully and choose the best or provide a response if
required.
3. Encourage students to answer as many questions as they can, even if they are uncertain.
4. Monitor the students during the pre-test and provide support, such as clarifying instructions or
answering questions the content.

Closure:
1. Announce the completion of the pre-test time.
2. Collect the pre-test assessment sheets or question papers from the students.
3. Thank the students for their participation and reassure them that the pre-test is only one tool used to
guide instruction.
4. Explain that the results of the pre-test will be used to plan future lessons and provide support based
on their individual needs.
5. Communicate the importance of embracing feedback and making progress throughout the learning
journey.
Note: Teachers should review and analyze the results of the pre-test to identify common areas of
weakness among students. These results can guide subsequent instructional planning and allow for
differentiation in content, teaching strategies, and assessments to better meet the diverse needs
