I – Reading

Read Theo’s opinion about his best holidays.

Scotland (The UK) – Best holidays ever!

My best holidays ever were with my Aunt Mary and my
cousin Beatrice. My Uncle Mark didn’t go with us. I was
12 years old. We went on a train tour around Scotland!
We started this adventure in Edinburgh, the capital city. It
5 is a super cool city with a castle. You can see the whole
city from up there! Then we took the Jacobite Steam
Train! I loved it! The train went through the most beautiful
landscapes. Did you know there are castles everywhere in Scotland? My favourite was Eilean Donan Castle, on
a tiny island. The views1 over Loch Ness and the Isle of Skye were beautiful, too.
10 During the trip, we met a Scottish family. They were very friendly and they even taught me some words in
Scottish Gaelic, a language from Scotland.
One negative memory: I lost one of my rucksacks with my mum and dad’s souvenirs in it… That wasn’t very
nice, but the train tour was a once-in-a-lifetime2 experience. I felt like I was in a storybook the whole time.
Scotland is an incredible country!
