Master Spec Emax (EDC) 630kVA-Outdoor
TRANSFORMER CONSTRUCTION :
Core :
Core shall be constructed of high quality non-aging, high permeability silicon steel and designed
to withstand 100 % of voltage without making injury to the transformer core. The steel shall be
in thin laminations and rolled to insure smooth surface at the edges. Both side of each sheet
shall be insulated with a durable heat-resistance baked enamel or vanish. the core shall be rigidly
clamped with positive locking device to insure adequate mechanical strength to support the
winding, prevent shifting of lamination during shipment, and to reduce vibration to minimum
during operation.
Winding :
The designed, construction, and treatment of winding shall give proper consideration to all service
factors, such as high dielectric and mechanical strength of insulation, coil characteristics, uniform
electrostatic flux distribution, prevention of corona formation, and minimum restriction to free oil
circulation. Winding conductors shall be free from scale, burrs, and splinters and shall be copper
conductor uniformly insulated. Permanent current-carrying joints for splices shall be welded of
properly formed and finished, and insulated to conform to basic insulation. The completed assembly
of core and coil shall be dried in vacuum sufficient to insure elimination of air and moisture within
the insulation structure. After the drying process, the assembly shall be immediately impregnated
with insulating oil under vacuum.
Tank :
The tank and cover of the transformer shall be fabricated of high grade low-carbon steel suitable
for welding. The tank is of welded construction, suitably reinforced with steel channels or angles
welded to the tank to ensure oil tightness and sufficient mechanical strength. All gaskets are made
of suitable compressible material, which does not deteriorate under service conditions, and are
placed firmly in the exact position of the flange equipped with metallic stops to prevent over
compression. The tank and cover shall be tested for oil tightness before painting. The test shall
be made filling with oil at an ambient temperature and applying an additional pressure of
0.3 kg/cm2 for 8 consecutive hours.
Bushing :
The bushing shall be conformed and be located to the requirement of the reference standard.
Basic impulse insulation level (BIL) for bushing.
Primary Secondary
System voltage (kV) 22 0.400/0.230
BIL not less than (kV. Peak) 125 -
PAINTING :
All surfaces shall be through cleaned before painting. Interior surface of the tank shall be finished
with oil resisting paint. Exterior surface shall be painted with a primer coat and the finish color
shall be light grey color. The paint used for the tank finish shall have special heat, oil and
weather-resisting properties.
TRANSFORMER OIL :
In accordance with IEC-60296 (class I) or equivalent.
ACCESSORIES :
The transformer shall be furnished with the accessories as shown details in outline drawing.
TESTS :
The following factory tests shall be carried out in the completed transformer in accordance with the
Routine test for transformer :
Test item shall be specified as;
a) Measurement of winding resistance.
b) Measurement of voltage ratio, and check of voltage vector relationship.
c) Measurement of impedance voltage.
d) Measurement of load loss.
e) Measurement of no-load loss.
f) Induced overvoltage withstand test.
g) Separate-source voltage-withstand test.
h) Oil dielectric strength test.
